Tough Choice but SLS... hard to walk away from. Try and negotiate!

It really isn't. T13 at full-tuition is better than Stanford in every conceivable scenario. There are plenty of T13 alum with the same "unicorn" jobs as HYS people. Don't mortgage your future for a 2% greater long-term chance at getting a unicorn job. Moving from a 1% to a 3% probability isn't worth $200k+.bearedman8 wrote:What are your career goals? If just Biglaw, then NU with no debt is the smarter move. Stanford is more reasonable if you're going for the unicorn things though.dyebri wrote:Hey guys,

I would take the NU fullrideRedPurpleBlue wrote:It really isn't. T13 at full-tuition is better than Stanford in every conceivable scenario. I'd have a NICE long talk with Stanford and see what they'd be willing to do in the face of a full ride from another t10.dyebri wrote:Hey guys,

Agreed. Although they're Stanford and NU is NU so idk if it'll work. Definitely worth trying though!Hobbesy wrote:I'd have a NICE long talk with Stanford and see what they'd be willing to do in the face of a full ride from another t10.dyebri wrote:Hey guys,

It's tough, but I'd probably choose Chicago.CPA-->JD wrote:Was offered 150K! Would you guys take it over 75K at Chicago?
I want biglaw and NU places extremely well. I'm not certain that 6 spots in the rankings are worth debt financing an additional 75K... On the other hand, its U of Chicago... Oh well, life wouldn't be as fun if we didn't have these decisions to second guess for the rest of our livesStopLawying wrote:It's tough, but I'd probably choose Chicago.CPA-->JD wrote:Was offered 150K! I'd choose NU, unless you want to become a professor. They really are a wash in almost every other department.StopLawying wrote:It's tough, but I'd probably choose Chicago.CPA-->JD wrote:Was offered 150K! Would you guys take it over 75K at Chicago?

HYS don't negotiate with scholarship offers. They don't need to.Hobbesy wrote:I'd have a NICE long talk with Stanford and see what they'd be willing to do in the face of a full ride from another t10.dyebri wrote:Hey guys,
