that's what a netflix binge is for. start a new show, and it will be midnight before you know it.brinicolec wrote:Welp, I'll definitely be awake and checking at midnight ET lol.20171lhopeful wrote:i was admitted in the first wave and I have both DLS and DNS.
I know it sucks, but I think you'll just have to wait until tomorrow. I think someone who had a similar issue with ASW was able to log on at midnight, if that's any consolation. Good luck guys

As I was waiting for my status checker to load, I wasn't sure if I wanted it to say UR or DLS. On one hand, I'd still be UR and wait for god knows how long. On the other hand, I'd be part of this DLS/DNS anxiety/torture.ashrice13 wrote:Read this. Heart stopped. Still UR.
I'm glad I'm still UR and hope I'll be in a normal wave. Good luck all.

What is the typical time lag between going DLS and getting an email (assuming acceptance)?

Well, it depends. It seems that sometimes ppl go DLS late in the afternoon/early in the evening (I didn't see the DLS until like 6/6:30pm ET) and in those cases, decisions aren't actually sent out until the following day.calpolisci2016 wrote:What is the typical time lag between going DLS and getting an email (assuming acceptance)?

I mean, I feel like if it were automated, it wouldn't have mattered that the DLS happened so late in the day. I'm thinking that we'll have to wait until folks are back in the office.calpolisci2016 wrote:Hm but I expect it to be automated, so should the email arrive anytime now?brinicolec wrote:It's like 1am ET so no, unfortunately. Thanks for the kind words, and yes I did! But now I'm worried if NYU won't take me, why would HLS? Bah.ashrice13 wrote:I'm sorry. Hope is not lost- you recently had your JS1, right?
