+1 ugh I don't like this new outline at least with the old one we were sure that deposit amount would show up if accepted

This might be a silly question but what does +1 mean? Like me too? I've been wondering for awhile haha

My Current Status Date changed yesterday, but it still says Application Complete :| This is the 3 date change so far. I'm not sure if that is good news or bad news at this point.

Has anybody been successful by just doing the minimum and stating your competing offers through the admitted students' website?? Also, if there happens to be a current NDLS student ITT who doesn't minding fielding some PM's about employment, SA's, please let me know !!
I believe the scholarship appeal page says that after submitting competing offers, NDLS will contact you directly to discuss.
I entered my data into the website and included 3 other offers (this is the cap). Within a day or two, I received an e-mail from ND to set up a phone call. It was fairly straightforward. They wanted to know where ND stood among my choices, they wanted to know what number I was looking for scholarship-wise, and wanted to know if I had any questions. They also informed me the process is on-going and no decisions or counteroffers would be made until after the scholarship committee meets later in March. They will notify everyone by their first deposit deadline of April 15, or earlier if you have an earlier deadline from another school with a competing offer. Whole thing took maybe 15 minutes.

yeah, it sucked b/c i had a horrible suite-mate - would have rather done Eddy Street, but it was cheap and easy to get to class.

I know some people who've liked on-campus housing b/c its convenient but I agree with the above post that you could get a terrible mate. There are other options. Many students now seem to live at the Overlook. If you're planning to have a car you could even look for something a bit further out.

I'm sure this has been answered before and I'm sorry for asking again but has anyone had any success with negotiating scholarships? What would be considered a peer school? I have better offers at Emory and Wake Forest and I'm hoping I can use those as leverage.
