For "Held" applicants, does everyone have the "X Awaiting TOEFL/IELTS Official Scores" on their profile?
I'm assuming that since I'm not an international applicant, the red X indicates that I don't have to worry about turning that in???

I am not held, I am still waiting on a decision. Last movement was a date change from complete 1/17 --> 2/19. BUT I do not show that line at all in my "Requirements List"

I've passed the 8 week mark, do you all think I should call?

Idk if you should call today, because the adcomms were in SF last night, so IDK if they're in town, but I do think you should call tomorrow. Last year I called UVA to ask if there was anything I could do to help them reach a decision (months since my complete date). I was told that I should write an LOCI. I did so, and I was admitted shortly thereafter.

Would it be inappropriate to call the admission office?
If anything, it shows you really care too.

Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
My interviewer (on campus) did not reply to my email a month later with some follow up and LOCI-related, NU Specific questions. I sent a thank you after the initial interview weeks prior.
Not sure what to make of that, but consider it. Interviewer was a very nice person, not sure why I didn't hear back. NU may be a reach but it's my top choice and I have some factors working for me.

I just called them and asked, they didn't sound very surprised to hear that I have that line. They just said that I don't have to worry about turning it in, although they didn't ask for my information . :/
I was concerned that they somehow counted me as an international applicant since I have an Asian name and Greencard. I probably won't worry about it unless other Held applicants don't have that line at all.

Here we go again NU: Waitlisted last year.
UR 1/21. Couldn't interview as I was traveling and wasn't sure where to schedule an off-campus interview.
Good luck!

I am held but don't even have that listed as one of the requirements. In your application there was a line about TOEFL scores, did you happen to answer that section accidentally.wholahoop wrote:For "Held" applicants, does everyone have the "X Awaiting TOEFL/IELTS Official Scores" on their profile?

I don't have it as a requirement for my status checker either, but it is there on the Hold page where you can upload additional essay questions. I think Northwestern sent it to us as a link in an email, it mentions writing optional essays and where to put them.
My worry for this has just risen 20%

Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
While this is probably true, you (wholahoop) need to call the admissions office and ask why you have a TOEFL thing even there. It's probably a clerical error that they'll clear up by unchecking a box somewhere, but you don't want to just leave it unresolved and just assume it'll be ok.bloomingtea wrote:I don't want to raise your worries, but I only have the option to upload and no other information using the link they provided. However, I think if they say it's fine, it'll be fine. If you were missing something in your application, you couldn't have gone complete and they wouldn't have even reached a "decision" (quoted because is a hold really a decisionwholahoop wrote: Just checked lsac and I didn't answer that section.

Do you guys think because of their travels, NU isn't going to release decisions this week? I don't know why but I just had a feeling this was the week I would find out.

So I ended up calling yesterday right before close. The lady who answered was super nice. She said that my application was just taking a little longer than usual to process. I just hope she picked up on how much I really want to go to NU.

I had that same feeling. But someone itt mentioned they're attending a dinner in LA tonight, so my guess is we'll have to hang in there one more week. Better to be accepted next week then rejected today though. Hopefully we'll get good news next week.

Generally speaking, NU likes people who care enough to jump through their hoops. You really can't borrow someone's camera, laptop, tablet, or smartphone for 15 minutes?gobears!! wrote:i am on hold and only wrote essays because i do not really have recording capabilities and didn't want to overwhelm friends during midterm season. do you think that looks bad?
