I like that never say die attitude - reality check for me - not holding out any hope for Georgetown decision now - will deposit at BC. Will be good to come home to the northeast - allergy's are horrible the further south I go - looking on the bright side mentality!!

Sorry to hear all the bad news, guys. Looking at some of your numbers, I'm baffled as to why I'm not in this wave of rejections, but I'll report back soon as I hear.

current ur date changed to 4/12 from 3/18 around 1:30. applied 2/15. anyone else have it change?

Just to put it out there, I got Wait Listed on Friday, so there is hope for that. I'm a reverse-splitter, URM, by the way. I'm sorry to all those who got rejected and were hoping to go there.

Pro-tip: Do not use your bank's billpay to pay the deposit. Send a check or money order via FedEx or UPS. Your bank will send the check via USPS, and your bank will not be able to track said check, and said check will get lost within the bowels of the postal system.

I just withdrew my app and I hated every minute of writing the email. I cannot say enough about how impressive Duke is and how lucky the folks who are going are. I hope this opens up a spot for a waiter to snag. Good luck everyone!

Edit: I further appreciate the consideration to expedite things as much as they can (email vs. snail mail). I haven't seen the same consideration from every school

I emailed them the scholarship info Sunday. The email today included very kind note about how my award was in the mail, but also attached via PDF in light of looming deadlines. I really appreciated that and that it spoke volumes about their office. I haven't seen similar courtesy out of every office I've worked with.

Also, just so you know, I ONLY applied for merit aid, so I'm not sure what effect that might have had on my processing time.
