I've registered for the Feb LSAT to try to raise my score in case I get waitlisted. Should/do I have to inform adcomm about this? Thanks in advance!

I don't think it would hurt. I know with the December test, I had the option of asking schools to hold my application for review until my second score came back, so you could try that if you're worried about getting dinged, but I don't know if they'll do that since your score will come back after the deadline. I would just call the schools, tell them you're taking the Feb. test, and ask what the procedure is if you receive a decision before your score comes back. Good luck!

I am in the same situation and I spoke to admissions yesterday about it--they said their system is linked to LSAC and they already were notified of my February retake. They also said that it is their policy to automatically hold my application in that situation until my February score is released.

Thanks so much! Glad someone's in the same boat as I am. I see you're an RTK applicant as well. Do you know if their holding onto our app is going to affect whether or not we can get an interview? Let's hope they're not in a rush to admit everybody before they get our scores...

Haha, I feel ya. Non-response from schools when you have great numbers makes me paranoid that one of my recommenders skewered me or that my PS actually was a POS.

I wish I still had semesters left to improve my GPA. The only thing that would save me now would be taking the LSAT a second time, but I ignored that reality until it was too late. I took it Feb. 2011, so there's no way I could jump back in and expect to do better without months and months of studying. Bah. For now, I'm just hoping NYU is crushed by the drop in applicants and decides to accept me sooner rather than later.

Like I said earlier in this thread, I really think they forgot about UR2 12/26ers. I am a UR2 12/26er above both medians by a large amount, and have heard nothing. Unless we all just wrote off-putting PSs?

I was seriously worried about this, but on the other hand, I've gotten some good results off other applications. I think NYU is just being weird.

Hopefully this doesn't accurately reflect my chances with CC.

Do they have current NYU students call every new admit? That must take awhile... I had someone call from a Jersey number and chat about NYU with me yesterday. It was kind of a pleasant thing for them to do that no other school who has admitted me has done. I hope they pay the students who have to do the calling! ahah.

Not sure whether those of you who have been waiting for awhile applied for any scholarships, but, if not, they might have prioritized those applicants who did. Not because they favor them. Just because, if accepted, their files needed to be passed off to another committee to review in time for interview invitations.
