Highly doubt it...especially at the expense of lower LSAT scores. They needed to raise their LSAT this cycle...

they didn't accept a single splitter yet. either all waitlisted or rejected... i feel bad for anyone who will go into DF with me... it will be a rejection but i think someone stated they should be done late this month or early april with all applications....

Many of the WL'rs were under review for a while, I went UR on Tuesday, DF on Friday. Definately a rejection.

At this point I am. I want to work in southern california and UCLA waitlisted me. After being rejected at Berkeley and Stanford it seems like a good option. I have some nice offers back East, but I would prefer to stay West. The connections, since I know the location I want to work, may be more valuable than rankings. We'll see.

so usc is my number 1 choice as of now and i find it unbearably annoying that one question on my lsat would have [strike]almost[/strike] guaranteed me admission and now because of my 166, i have to most likely be wait listed and check this board 7 times a day to see if there is any movement.
i read somewhere earlier on this forum that 2 years ago, usc said they took almost no one off their waitlist and last year usc took 150 people off?? i personally know 2 people at starting usc law this year...1 with a 165 3.8 and the other with a 166 3.7...and the 166 was admitted less than a few weeks before school started and the 165 was taken off the waitlist in may.
can anyone try and explain the difference between the number of kids taken off 2 years ago and last year?
my theory is that they are holding off on the 166's right now, as is evident on lsn, so that they wont have to take so many people off the waitlist again this year. if their deposit numbers are low after the 1st deadline, they might let in some 166's without waitlisting them. what do you guys think?

USC's median is 167. UCLA is pulling away with a 168 median last year, and will be most likely be higher this year. I have always thought that this year (with the increase in applicants/applications) that they will try to increase their LSAT but i could be wrong.

Their deposit is not due until May 1st unlike others which is in April. If they are waiting until their deposit, it will be a long wait, but i believe USC is trying to complete its process by April (as others have stated who called in). Which is why i doubt that they are keeping us waiting to accept us later... since they can just waitlist us.

But if they are waiting... it is definitely possible that they are keeping applicants that have 166 LSAT w/ high GPA and 168+ LSAT w/ low GPA as long as possible to fill in the voids after the deposit deadline.
