I'm at 11/16 - they haven't made any WL or Ding decision on RD applicants (AFAIK) - so I figure I'm in one of those piles.

This thread is due for some major action. It's quite amazing to see Duke's LSN graph compared to other T14 schools. They have a sea of green above 169/170 LSAT (at all points above 3.5 GPA), with almost no rejections and few waitlists anywhere.

On the other hand, Berkeley has a clear cut areas of Admit/Deny/FR (blank area) in its graph along the index formula. UVA and Michigan have acceptances and denials more mixed together, but they've released many more decisions than Duke, and they are evenly spread across the index. And even though UVA has a reputation of playing to the USNWR rankings, they seem to be more choosy than Duke when it comes to the high LSATs.

It leads me to wonder, what is going on with Duke?!?! They were super straightforward earlier in the cycle (all focused on PT), but now there is this huge lull. Where is the action on the sub-169 LSAT crowd? Is LSAT king for Duke as long as your GPA>3.5?

Just hoping they act soon, I love Duke, but I'm starting to be distracted by many other great offers...

It seems that 169s have only gotten action at really high GPAs (3.8+). As a lower-GPA-wielding 169, I really hope they get to the rest of us soon.

Yep, you're definitely right...looks like hard cutoffs. I hope, for your sake and mine, they soften these up as they fill the class.

Was the letter in the acceptance packet, or by email recently? I can't say I remember reading it.

It was a separate skinny packet that had a two page letter from Dean Levi encouraging you to attend Duke and some of his thoughts on becoming Dean there. It was signed by him and enclosed was a Duke Law Journal article by him. Kind of a nice presentation - I guess I like having stuff to read in my hands rather than an email.

My Mom had opened it for me so I knew it wasn't a scholarship offer although I'm sure that would've been my first thoughts had I opened the mail. I want to write him back and be like - if you pay for me to visit I'll come down and give Durham a chance!

God, I hope so. I have this cycle narrowed way down, but Duke's money ? is really holding up the process.

Yea scholarships are taking forever. I'm also waiting on them to release more info on ASW. I've called like 3 times and asked if they're offering travel stipends and they keep telling me they haven't made a decision yet. It's next month and I need to make plans DUKE
