You know what would be a dope ass LOCI? Something like "Hey UVA admissions! I know this is your busy season, so I just wanted to reach out and say keep on trucking! I've enclosed some cartoons that always cheer me up."

I'd admit that person.

Sweet... smh.

Hit the two big points, why UVA is ideal for you, but why you're an ideal candidate for them. What makes you work with their vibe? UVA is pretty unique in that it's one of those schools that cares about the community of the school, and the overall feel. That's something you can really work with, not to mention all the different kinds of student orgs, clinics, etc. Which specifically speak to you, and how can you help them? We can talk more via PM, but the specifics are what you need to think about.

How have most people been notified about scholarship money?

Snail mail, usually with your acceptance package I believe.

Alternatively, When you log on to your SIS after March 3rd, you'll see if you have any $$$.

From my understanding, yes - I got accepted mid Feb, and got my initial offer in my acceptance packet like 4 days later. I highly doubt they haven't told people admitted before that, and I'd expect they also have told people on similar timelines since.

"The Court refers to the University of Virginia at Charlottesville. There is no University of Virginia at Charlottesville, there is only the University of Virginia."

So how many acceptances are left to give out....?
According to LSN, they didn't accept anyone after March 1st....It is a slow cycle this year so I am hoping things are different...

I see someone on LSN who got in in September (and had an account and updated things between then and now) and just posted a Dillard today.

Would love to know that story!

There are a few people who got accepted after March according to TLS. But definitely a lot more dings and WL's.

I'm a 1L and I got accepted around March 8th last year FWIW. Also, there's a guy in my section who got in off of the waitlist last year with a Dillard. It's not typical, but just goes to show that anything is possible. Keep the faith!

It's not necessarily announced, but the school did do a story on the website with 5 of the Dillards at the beginning of the school year. And, this guy told a few of us when we were comparing admission stories. But it's not really common knowledge who all of them are. We don't talk about scholarships or grades as a rule.

Hahaha ok good, I was like "That's way too fucking intense." Don't want the whole school knowing I flunked.

So it looks like there was a decent sized wave of movement last year around March 8. Can we expect mass movement next week?

I'm assuming they just didn't want to update scholarship info until after they were done negotiations.
They were also accepted to HLS FWIW. A small bargaining chip....
