Honestly though, aren't most of us pretty active in both TLS and Reddit? I am, so I guess I just assume everyone else is?

Good read for a laugh. They are pretty angry over there. I never thought TLS was super toxic. I guess they engage with some of the more argumentative tlsers
I'm cackling. They called us psychopaths.

I mean, there are some ppl on this site that can be major assholes, but I think we generally have a pretty nice "community" on here.

I haven't been on TLS long but there is some pretty deeply entrenched paranoia about LSAT scores, school rankings, etc. It seems partially fueled by reasonable debt-aversion in reaction to a faltering job market and increasing tuition but a lot of it is weird striver chauvinism. See, e.g., this travesty of a thread from two years back where a dean from an affordable, decent regional school tries to address substantive questions but gets drowned out by a chorus of "Kansas lol"

Yeah, going back two, three, four years to the height of the recession and the stereotype starts making sense

There definitely is a competitive element to some of TLS and the waiters threads can get pretty wild near the end, but I think in general TLS is helpful
TLS is definitely helpful.

I was gonna apply to schools like Miami before I found TLS (lol) and have been accepted to Georgetown, GWU, and UCLA so far this cycle.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
