I haven't heard anything, but I was admitted this week. I'm taking that as a sign that we'll be hearing about named scholarships soon! I know I'm reaching here, but a girl can dream.
Based on last year's thread, they did let you know if you weren't being considered via e-mail - or I think you get a financial aid offer without interviewing. Or both.
There hasn't been any rumbling about named schollies yet. I'm guessing in the next two weeks.

I second andy2012's curiosity. Do you guys mind sharing your stats, so we can figure out what kind of candidates got that e-mail? On my part, I'm at the LSAT and GPA 25th percentile.
Yep, above both 75ths actually. Anybody else?

Wasn't sure where to ask this since there is no thread yet for admits. Has anyone reached out for travel stipends for admit days and/or gotten a reply?

I'm sure you won't be the only one! In all honesty, I wish one of my parents could go and see the schools with me. I liked having their input when it came to deciding for undergrad.
My mom is coming up to NYC on that Friday for a girls weekend, and my dad is coming with me to some other ASWs because he helped me a ton in the application process and wants to be a part of the final decision. I think its totally normal for them to be hanging around campus, but maybe less normal if they go to social events and things like that.

Hey!
So re: everyone's named scholarship theorizing.
On Friday I got an e-mail from a professor & a current student, both of whom work in the same area of public service law as I described in my RTK app.
Has anyone else gotten an e-mail from a prof? I've seen people say they had calls etc. from alumni, but just searched the forum for prof and didn't see anything.
Do we think this is a good sign? I really hope so - love NYU, love New York, but the cost is a bit prohibitive.
Hopefully we all hear soon

Also got prof & student e-mail, and I'm not an RTK applicant. Pretty sure mine was a basic form e-mail based on 1 subject area.

I think NYU is going for some sort of record as far as communication. I have had three current students, one alumnus, one prof, and a couple admissions office employees all email me. Pretty absurd but they have done a fabulous job answering all of my questions. Also no, I don't have that good of numbers but somehow got accepted so not really sure why the outreach but I'll take it...

Have the people who are getting correspondence from students/professors been accepted for awhile? I haven't gotten anything but I was only accepted a little over a week ago.

Well crap
ETA: On the topic of emails, were we supposed to have gotten admit emails after the call? I never got one (I did get a physical copy in the mail though)

I'm not sure if this is just me, but my email came to the secondary email address I'd listed on my app rather than the primary email address, so it's worth checking!

Doesn't seem to be anything there. Thanks for the tip though.
Have any other admits not been contacted by a professor or student? I get the standard mass mail stuff but nothing actually addressed to me.

I was accepted before Xmas and the first student reached out to me about a month later in January, followed by a professor, but another student and an alumnus just reached out to me last week. I wouldn't worry yet, it probably just depends on who you've been assigned.

It took me longer than other people and I've only been contacted by one student and one professor. They seem to tailor it to your interests, so that might be why.

Yeah, the tailoring to your interests and similiarities with other students is an excellent touch.

I was admitted in mid-January, and a student reached out to me several days ago. And I have strong numbers for NYU. I doubt there is any real logic to it. They most likely contact several people and ask them to write if they have the time, and the speed at which they do varies significantly.
I also just received my big purple envelope with the official acceptance e-mail, and immediately felt bad for the Dean who has to write 1,900 semi-personal sticky-notes over the course of admissions season.
