It's been 11 days since my interview (2/28). Should I call and ask them when I can expect to hear back?

Have all acceptances (without interview) thus far come after 4 completes, or has it varied?

Re: Cornell c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
I had three completes before acceptance. My last complete was also my day of acceptance. I think it went something like 1/7 (first complete), 1/22, 2/4 (acceptance).bfc2013 wrote:Have all acceptances (without interview) thus far come after 4 completes, or has it varied?

Lol I can't believe I'm still at 2/2 verifying materials for completion. This is a joke, right?

I'd hang in there. I was told 7-10 days, and Cornell has been busy with their ASW and such. I'd call if you're not included in the next admit wave if I was you.patfeeney wrote:It's been 11 days since my interview (2/28). Should I call and ask them when I can expect to hear back?
Good luck though!

For those of you who are on "reserve"... how likely is it that we will be admitted vs. being waitlisted? I am assuming being "held" is better than being "waitlisted"? thoughts?>

Doesn't reserve just eventually become a smaller waitlist in the summer?Lavitz wrote:It basically is.lakers180 wrote:i thought reserve was waitlistdkh wrote:For those of you who are on "reserve"... how likely is it that we will be admitted vs. being waitlisted? I think I remember seeing that in late July, some people are WL and some are removed from reserve (rejected).

Yes. It's in the OP.SteelPenguin wrote:Doesn't reserve just eventually become a smaller waitlist in the summer?

But to the extent that if you're on reserve, you won't hear back until after the deposit deadline when they see how many spots they have to fill, it functions the same as a waitlist.
The actual waitlist rarely sees any movement because someone would have to withdraw in late July/August for anyone to get in.

Please ask admissions at Cornell (and any other school you're considering) what they plan do as far as LRAP's if changes to IBR/PAYE or PSLF occur. You may not plan to use these types of programs, but they are the safety net that makes 6 figures of student loans possible. Some of you will fail to get big or mid law; others will get biglaw only to watch your firm fold during your first year. Your schools future LRAP should be an important part of your decision.

Where did this come from? Also, from what I understand, Cornell's plan would become more attractive relative to other schools if changes to PAYE occur.Nomo wrote:Please ask admissions at Cornell (and any other school you're considering) what they plan do as far as LRAP's if changes to IBR/PAYE or PSLF occur.
