I just had my group interview yesterday and had my 3rd or 4th status update today but I can't log in to ASW. Does that pretty much mean I got waitlisted/rejected?

For those of you worried about the interviews, I received an invitation for a group interview in DC but wasn't able to make it because of job obligations. The handwritten note on my acceptance letter mentioned that they were sad they didn't get to meet me in person, but completely understood that I couldn't make it...I was really stressed out about the timing not working out for the group interview, this was pretty much all the reassurance I could hope for!

Most people had three or four updates. I had four. I wouldn't worry yet.

I'm well out of college. Maybe they're holding for that for you, but I think they're just holding us to see if better stats come along. I'm hoping that the people who aren't going to G'Town and are, instead, off to Ivier pastures withdraw their applications soon so we can get a decision.

I got one of these emails too, although I have a slightly different take on it. Georgetown hasn't really started rejecting people so I think this the default move for folks that apply early in the cycle. If you look at LSN they start dinging early/mid january with very few, if any, before then. This is basically as close to saying no they are willing to get at this early point and is probably an insurance measure for them to keep a pool of applicants should something nuts happen to the world/legal field/gtown.

That said, we still have a chance! I am going to send a LOCI.

At least you guys got a letter of hold.........how about those of us stranded in ASW at 11/27>

I was put on hold with that email as well, wrote them a brief LOCI but not holding my breath, although I'd love to go to gtown.

Left out in the cold............count your blessing by at least having a hold. What are your stats, if you dont mind. I'm stuck at 11/17.
