I wonder if no mailings is a good thing for y'all, since the dean signs every acceptance?

I am so hoping this is true, but the realistic me says

I'm wondering if this may have something to do with the fact that mine changed late that evening. Maybe they didn't get to mailings for those of us whose statuses were changed towards the end of the night.

+1. Fortunately, the realistic me was strangled to death by the irrational, superstitious, overly-optimistic me early this cycle because of UW, so I'm going with the first one.

Well, either way, they have made their decisions (right? right?) so at least we know notification is on it's way or will be soon.

It's also quite possible that they changed our status checkers to decision late (after mailing our letters) and didn't feel like messing with mailings.

Haven't professors been calling accepted students to answer questions? I wonder if that will start happening with this batch before everyone gets their letters in the mail.

I heard scholarships are going out early this week. They will likely take a while to arrive, though, based on past experience.

(When I received it, it was dated 2/11, received 2/14.)

I received my decision and my status checker had nothing under mailings and still said I was IR.

Mine says "Decision Letter Sent 3/07" under mailings but my Decision says 3/09. I still haven't gotten anything.

I mean if you don't want to ask for your decision, you can maybe ask the office assistant about when she thinks the letters will start going out for the 3/11 group?

Agree wholeheartedly. I have waited for 4 months, I can wait for another 2 weeks. I just want to know when I can get the letter.

I find their timing cruel. It's Finals week here at UW and I am having trouble focusing due to the reasonable chance I receive my letter today. Not to mention regardless if I am accepted or not I will be distracted...

I think they spent last Thursday/Friday making final committee decisions. I'm guessing that letters won't start being mailed until early this week, maybe the Thursday decisions went out on Friday, but I kind of doubt it because UW like to take their sweet time.

Dude! I'm Seattle area, decision 3/11 and mailing 3/11, so I dont see any reason why I shouldn't get it today.

I just called the admissions office (12/1er, decision 3/11) and they said that they will not be releasing any decisions over the phone, but to be patient and wait for the mail...most all letters will be out this week.
(They didn't ask for my name or anything.)

Fingers Crossed! Only one more week to irritate the family members at home with my daily multiple irritating "did the mail come yet, anything from UW? Are you sure?" calls...

I'd like to thank everyone who has kept this post alive with the constant updates. I've been following along as I'm in the IR 1/24 and Decision 3/11 group.

Probably. They've done this several times this cycle actually....

Not even close. Just in general, UW's status checker is a single step away from useless. They pretty randomly do or do not update the different statuses and even if you are on of those that they managed to do all the proper updating on, that check just means that they have begun the mailing process, which seems to take 1-4 days.

I called in today because I really need to know soon, I have some scholarships that require me to accept by April 1st. And I'm living overseas so it'll take awhile for my mail to get here. So, I asked if they could give me my decision over the phone or by email (explaining my situation). The person I spoke to said they can't give this kind of information over the phone, but she would be happy to send me an email. Then she asked for my name and put me on hold. When she came back she said she couldn't send me an email and I'd have to wait for it by mail. I don't feel good about this decision
