Yes, they mentioned that they consider both the PS and "Why SMU" as very important. The PS takes the place of the in-person interview, so that's your opportunity to sell yourself.

I really wish I knew how full the PT and FT classes were after the first round of seat deposits were due. It would make the waiting easier. Has anyone asked the admissions office about this?

Don't go off of me in terms of the "have not heard" crew. I'm complete 3/10, which is super super late.

That's strange--we have almost identical numbers and I received a decision 4/19. I guess the biggest difference is you did PT/FT?

Another nugget from the prospective student seminar, Keehan said the LORs were "the least important part of the application." Since the admissions committee expects most LORs to be very positive and complimentary, one that isn't really sticks out and negatively affects the applicant.

The fact that I am from Dallas and also that Dallas has such a thriving legal market make SMU a perfect fit for me. I don't care how much debt I will incur for choosing SMU, as the SMU experience is invaluable to me. I am all SMU.

Yes, I'm 164/2.9. I was complete 3/1 (everything was really in by 2/15, but there was a mail delivery delay with one LOR).

nothing. I know someone went DR on Friday with the date of 4/26... Don't know what all this means though.
