I know that those of us still waiting will hear back about scholarship information by Friday, but every day that I check my mailbox and have nothing from UVA, my heart breaks a little.

I looked at last year's forum and at LSN and couldn't really get an idea of what percentage of people who heard back about scholarship funding only through SIS actually received a scholarship offer that way. I'm getting kind of worried about it, especially since I've been admitted for about four months already.

+1 I went to UVA for undergrad and absolutely loved it. Went into this cycle almost completely set on UVA, but without $$, I may have to take a scholly at a T-20 in the market where I eventually want to work. Really hoping they pull through before Friday, but still trying to manage my expectations.

Your numbers are better than mine, but I'm holding out hope for getting of the WL at UVA. I was rejected at UMich already.

According to LSN, the last UVA Acceptance "wave" of the 2015-2016 cycle was on 3/3/2016. Random acceptances after that, but mostly waitlists and rejections. I'm still UR1 so L-O-L.

I think I may have been misinterpreted earlier - their application doesn't specifically ask/prompt for one, but it is widely regarded around these parts as a very helpful component to a successful application. Sure, people get in without one, but it certainly doesn't hurt to write one (and in my case I'd say it helped - my interviewer referenced it, and it gave me additional talking points in the interview)

It took three weeks from complete to interview request for me. I applied in November though so things may be slower now? Idk.
