I finally caught one of you folks' PWs.
In other news, it is way too nice out to be inside. I think a long hike is in order.

My office has no windows. Knowing that I'm like 20 minutes from some of the most beautiful portions of the AT on a day like today makes me super sad.The Abyss wrote:I finally caught one of you folks' PWs.

Might drive up to North Georgia and hike some of the beginning of the AT.

That is correct. Not very challenging, but nice nonetheless.barley wrote:I also have no windows. The Abyss wrote:I work from home and make my own hours.doublehoohopeful wrote:My office has no windows. Part of me wants to postpone law school for a year and thru-hike next spring, but the more rational side says that I should go to school next fall.

I did for solicited, but not unsolicited.urbanist11 wrote:Question for those that solicited fee waivers. Did you respond with a thank you when they granted one? Not sure if this is common courtesy or if they appreciate you not responding and clogging up their inbox. Silly question I know...

I do. If they frown upon you expressing gratitude, they're jerks.urbanist11 wrote:Question for those that solicited fee waivers. Did you respond with a thank you when they granted one? I'm just afraid that once I start law school, I will be stuck on the treadmill and I won't have a chance to do it again while I'm young and can do it relatively easily.Generally wrote:I actually might do a month or two of this before law school next year.benwyatt wrote:I think anyone who grew up in the Appalachian Mountains has that feeling at least once every year or two.doublehoohopeful wrote: Yep.

Re: c/o 2019 Applicant Compendium (2015 - 2016)
I am planning on doing 2 or 3 weeks in the Wind Rivers of Wyoming next summer. Glacier trail is about 20 miles or so leading to the base of Gannett Peak, which I may attempt if I can work up the courage (requires alpine climbing). Nothing but me, my pack, and the occasional grizzly.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
