did the email containing the financial aid survey go out to all applicants/admitted students, or only a handful?

Only some admitted students received the email. Really hoping they send out another wave!2014entering2014 wrote:did the email containing the financial aid survey go out to all applicants/admitted students, or only a handful?

For those held or wait listed, did your status change from "application completed"?

I was held in the fall, and mine never did. I think only the dates change.str8yolked wrote:For those held or wait listed, did your status change from "application completed"?

Admitted a couple weeks back. When and how have people been hearing about scholarships and financial aid? I haven't heard a peep one way or the other, just holding out hope.

On January 30th select admitted students received an email regarding their interest in merit aid. Before last year, this email was an unprecedented move on Georgetown's part, so there's some useful merit-related information in the Georgetown C/O 2016 thread.

Basically exact same boat and timeline as you!hopeful 0L wrote:I'm sure that this has already been addressed elsewhere in the thread, but I was wondering what information (if any) can be gathered from multiple date changes for the "Current Status Date" of the application status checker. Obviously the school says it doesn't mean anything, but I'm curious what other people have experienced. I applied about two weeks ago, and now have been "Complete" with status dates of 1/30, 2/3, and 2/7.
I applied ED though
Good luck

Re: Georgetown c/o 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
Finally got my alumni interview email.
What's the policy on dress for these interviews? My gut instinct is business attire, but my interviewer made it sound like it was supposed to be a pretty informal chat that's mostly informative for both of us - does business casual work?
I haven't really had to wear a suit in years and I'm pretty sure my old one won't fit

Pretty sure the consensus here is still business casual. Yea, the interview is casual and informative for both, but still good to dress the part. I perhaps over-dressed a bit for mine and wore a tie, and the interviewer actually remarked that he appreciated me dressing up for the interview.

Application submitted 12/16. Went complete a few days after. Second update left current status date at 1/7. No changes after.
Does anyone know if this is this a good or bad sign?

Assuming its a bad sign here. I'm in the same boat. But, my pessimism is mere speculation.flipflop33 wrote:Application submitted 12/16. Went complete a few days after. Second update left current status date at 1/7. No changes after.

I think it depends on the interviewer. I, for example, interviewed with a VP of a large corp., so I went suite and tie. To be fair, my interviewer made it (somewhat) clear that the interview was going to be formal.mickey_mouse wrote:Vexed wrote:Finally got my alumni interview email.

I'm still sitting at 2/6, having also changed 2/5 and 2/4, but this is my 5th total status change.

Well, given that I live within a half mile radius of GULC, if they sent an envelope on the 6th I should receive it soon.LSBound2017 wrote:+1!!! Re: Georgetown c/o 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
This may be a silly question, but on the status checker is there a difference if it says "application completeD" does this mean they have reached a decision, or has it always said that and I just now noticed haha?
