There is no reason for me to even check the Cornell status checker. I officially have no status checkers of worth.

I'm starting to think that almost all status checkers are worthless.

I think they're helpful (at some places) in terms of letting you know when materials are received and when you're complete. From the perspective of the school I'm sure they're great. Could you imagine how many more "did you receive X?" or "have you started looking at my application?" or "did you mail me X" questions they would receive?

Good luck to those who received interview requests. Anybody know why/how often this was done in the past?

pretty sure it's yp. I was just wondering about others who received interview requests (email said about 150 would) and if they were generally borderline or yp candidates.

at least I finally had some movement. baby steps, cornell.

they gave the option of doing either, depending on convenience, but said on-campus was preferable.

Complete as of two weeks ago. It does indeed seem like a creative way to YP. Something interesting to note. It said in the email that a decision will be reached within a week of the interview.

"We also realize our interviewing process delays things for you. This is why we promise we will give you a decision (admit, deny or hold) within a week of your interview. In other words, you will have a decision in plenty of time to meet the various deposit deadlines of all of the schools you have applied to."

I believe I was UR, but the checker changed to interview requested. Definitely not still processing and applied in early-ish November.

Also, fwiw, the request says interviewees are "strong candidates" and to treat it as an opportunity to learn more about Cornell. They also guarantee a decision within a week after the interview.

Submitted 11/31->processing status date changed 1/28 and now this. Does anyone know roughly how long it takes from going complete until decision? Email said 8-12 weeks.

I was compete 1/10, then UR 1/21 before getting the interview request.

no interview request here. When is the interview anyway? Silly to ask people to interview in Ithaca in the winter time...that will probably scare a lot of people off.

I still am not expecting news anytime soon!
I fear rejection, and am unsure if I should alert them of my Feb retake or not...(of course I could do worse, though I don't expect it)
