I went complete on 12/18, but my deciscion status is blank. It just has decision date "12/18." Does this mean I am under-review, or?????

They don't do much in the way of updating the checkers. The only change is that when they have made a decision, you will see something at the top that says something about expecting a package in 2-4 weeks. Other than that, there is no indication of what they are doing.WMCowgirl wrote:I went complete on 12/18, but my deciscion status is blank. It just has decision date "12/18." I wouldn't read too much into yet. Mine didn't change til after I got a call, and others had it change before. They might not start calling again until tomorrow. I think most of the calls went out on Tuesdays and Wednesdays before the holidays.

The same thing happened to my status checker. I hope it's a signal they're finally looking at my app.

Does anybody know what the criteria are for getting residency? I couldn't find it stated anywhere on the Appeals Office's website. When I contacted them, they told me they couldn't speculate about any potential cases and just gave me a link to their website.
It also seems like opinions vary quite a bit on TLS. Are there definitive criteria for residency, or is it as whimsical as the appeals office's website (and correspondence) makes it seem?

Re: George Mason 2010
There's a residency form that was rather intuitive to find on their website. It will ask you a number of questions, such as if you filed your taxes in VA in the last year, if you are registered to vote in VA, if your cars are registered in VA, if your drivers license is VA, etc. After reading the questions, it should be pretty easy to figure out whether or not you are eligible based on whether your answers have mostly been yes, or mostly been no.fallguy wrote:Does anybody know what the criteria are for getting residency? Re: George Mason 2010
Not so sure on criteria, but I had to submit additional documentation and they were really quick about granting me in-state status (and that was before I had a VA drivers license). I was registered to vote in VA and moved here in June 2009, so I will have 12 mos of residency behind me once fall comes around.fallguy wrote:Does anybody know what the criteria are for getting residency? UVA, on the other hand, is a completely different story. Been complete since 10/30, and my VSO status is STILL pending, more than 2 months later....and the adcom wont review until status has been determined. UVA was a long shot to begin with, but now I just feel like I wasted an app fee b/c their VSO Committee is slow.

This just appeared on my status checker. No phone call and I applied through the Early Decision process. Should I expect a rejection/waitlist letter in two weeks?

Do you guys remember how long it took to receive Mason's initial email after you submitted your application? I applied 12/28, but have not received their email yet. Wondering if I need to contact them. Thanks!

I also received this message, did not apply early decision tho. Does this mean either rejection or WL since I haven't received any phone call?nooyyllib wrote:+1 since yesterday. holding on to my cell phone like its my life.pja123 wrote:"You should expect to receive a decision letter in the mail in two to four weeks. I also received the message a few of you got. I hope it's at least a waitlist but I'd imagine it's a rejection :-/

Mines really low. 160/3.33 UVa, decent softs, strong PS and recommendations. ED applied PT or FT went complete 11/3.mes2010 wrote:Same. What are everyone's stats who got this message?
assuming its rejection but dying for a phone call.

Re: George Mason 2010
My gut feeling is that it's going to be a rejection. Everyone accepted received a phone call and a pretty quick response. I applied 11/5 and haven't gotten a call, just the new status update saying I'll get a letter in two-to-four weeks.

So there have been no confirmed phone calls today or yesterday? Maybe this just means that they have reviewed the apps and will be making calls at the end of this week... ? At least we can hope...

Re: George Mason 2010
I think you shouldn't worry too much. I got email when I got accepted, and I seldom checked the status checker before that. I don't know whether they only did it for me cuz I'm int'l applicant. But I think they will let you know, at least I haven't got my letter yet but I knew I'm in.nooyyllib wrote:yes. we can only hope.MMMPEEE13 wrote:So there have been no confirmed phone calls today or yesterday?
