Re: Northeastern 2010
This is interesting. I applied EA and still do not have a decision. But yesterday I got an email from NEU reminding me to send in my application for the Public Interest Law Scholarship. It says right on the application that you have to be admitted before you can submit the application and it is due Jan 4th. Do you think they send this email to every applicant or could this be good news?
Btw, I'm a 158/3.56/non-URM

They sent me the same email, but I was accepted on 12/10. I'm not sure what that means for your situation... Good luck though! I think you'll get good news from them soon!LoveSaltLife wrote:This is interesting. I applied EA and still do not have a decision. Re: Northeastern 2010
Call the Admissions Office. NUSL sent me an email invite to Admitted Students Weekend before I received a decision letter. I called them to ask if this meant I had been accepted and they said "yes" and that they had jumped the gun on sending out the email invite. Will cross my fingers for you!LoveSaltLife wrote:This is interesting. I applied EA and still do not have a decision. Under-Represented Minority. This usually refers specifically to Black, Mexican, Puerto Rican, and Native American candidates because schools are actively recruiting such applicants to diversify their classes. It's sort of a hot topic for debate on this site. If you search through the threads you'll find plenty of information (and bigotry!) about it.howie wrote:ya i got that email to have not be admitted yet? did anyone call northeastern admissions to find out? any information would be greatly appreciated. by the way what does URM mean? hope that is not a stupid question

I got the e-mail and didn't apply. I really don't think it means anything.

Re: Northeastern 2010
My decision letter was mailed today too (1/8/10).
For those who live outside of Boston and have already been accepted, how long did your letter take to arrive?
I hope this is good news!
