Nothing shows pessimism like all hudling up together in an "Optimism" thread and telling each other that it will be alright.

Atleast "Pessimism" thread does not backfire like that.

Probably part of the reason pessimissm is so much larger

I am Russian myself and I am definitely a fan of Russian hockey but my Canadian boys will kick Russia's ass in 2010

How can you say that if you're Russian. Sure Canada is really good, but we proved to be better for the past two years. Including beating them in Canada in front of their own crowd. I'm glad to see Russian sports revival. I hope we win next year as well. Rossiya Vpered!

Yeah, let's just get this back on track.....out at Gtown via e-mail, seems like 12/01ers are all rejected. It's all good though, hoping for some Marquette love tonight to salve the burn.

I'm not to upset, as even though I'm 0-3, they are all from reaches. I'm EXPECTING in at Marquette, not just hoping, so if I'm out there, then I'll start worrying.

My theory is that Cornell is thinning it's EA pool because they are going to send special "Dancing Santa singing telegrams" to those that are in, and a big fat scholarship too!!

thanks Mrs. Trucker and Jackalope....If experience has taught me anything in my life, it is that even failure leads to the right thing, as long as one continues to work towards something good. I've had more than my fair share of hard times, and It's always turned out well.

It's funny how true that philosophy is... I was going through the same thing recently (law school was, even just a few months ago, a distant dream that I thought I would regret missing for the rest of my life) and yet, here we are on the verge of great things!
