I loved Gainesville the four years I was there, but that was nearly 7 years ago. Since then I've picked up a wife and I just don't think I could do another 3 in Gville. I def realize that UF Law is a much better school, but attending in Tampa will allow my wife to transfer her job from Cali and my strong network in Florida should negate (hopefully) any shortcomings of Stetson versus UF. That being said, I will be spending many Saturdays in and around The Swamp.

ive been in at stetson for a while (156/3.67... nothin great) ... I live about 10 min from the school (for the past 22ish years).. if you have any questions about the area, let me know

In today!! I'm certainly pumped about this one as Stetson is #1 or #1a on my list. Only bad thing is that I have to leave SoCal.

Right now Florida and Stetson are neck and neck, I'm hoping for a nice scholarship package from Stetson. I'm torn, like you I have a hard time imagining 3 more years in Gainesville. I'm not married, but I am 30, so I eclipse the median age at midtown by a good clip. Haha.

Florida and Stetson are both solid for in-state placement, so I'm not worried about the TTT reputation Stetson carries on this site. I think I would like to be a judge later in life, so Florida may have the edge there. I'm not looking forward to actually having to make this decision in a couple of months.

I feel your pain...I will be 29 on our 1st day of class and certainly don't think any good will come from me hangin' around the 'Ville for 3 years. Although, Stetson is TTT in the parlance of TLS, it's location and rep in FL (something that really doesnt come thru in discussions on this site) allow Stetson to "break the mold" of it's TTT counterparts that are positioned in saturated markets (LA, NYC, Chicago). got my acceptance packet in the mail today. really excited. if stetson gives me scholarship $ i will definitely be visiting soon.

Stetson is more attractive than nearly all the T2s because of its prominence in a very large and pretty wonderful metropolitan area, and its really excellent placement statistics. That, the campus, the specialty programs, and the really amazing admissions staff. I have to say, Darren has been the most open-for-business admissions person. I'd say only Pless of Illinois (for his presence on TLS) and Wake Forest's staff compare to Stetson in this regard.

My status checker now says "decision made" but no email. That would be really weird as I've been getting into 1T and 2T schools... if I get rejected from Stetson, that's really going to hurt my pride... BAD.

They don't send out any e-mails regarding acceptances/rejections - just have to wait for the package to arrive.

I was on, the main thing I took away is that Stetson seems to have a dedicated faculty that is willing to help you throughout LS.

Got my acceptance package today. It's my first decision but I need to hear about $$$ before I even think about where I'll be in August.

So excited! I hope any scholarship they offer is relative to my enthusiasm for their program.

I'm 99% certain I will be at Stetson in the Fall, but will likely not be able to attend ASD (rec'd the email today) as I am living in California at the moment. How many others here are fairly sure you will be attending Stetson?

I haven't received anything yet, but it is my understanding (and supported in this thread) that there are about three more scholarship role-outs to go. It seems that if you don't get an immediate offer with acceptance that you will have to wait and see if they call your number in one of those. One is supposed to be "very soon" but I have no idea on the other two.

I'm sure there will be some posts in this thread as soon as the next wave hits.

I was on the chat yesterday and skettles said that the next round of schollys were sent to the Deans office for his approval/signature and they should have them w/in the week.

He (Darren Kettles) called me today and I missed it. His message said he was excited for me, so I'm hoping that equals $. I'll let you guys know what I hear tomorrow.
