Anybody think I have a shot with a 164/3.75? Seeing all these great stats makes me nervous.

I guess BU copped out on us for the day, seeing as how it's almost 5PM here on the west coast.

BU, you are dead to me. I was really looking forward to shooting the breeze today, but nope, you had to go and get cold feet. Our post-Thanksgiving chat will not be nearly as sweet as what could have been today.

Of course you do. You have a very good GPA and an LSAT only a point below BU's median.moonmaster3 wrote:Anybody think I have a shot with a 164/3.75? Seeing all these great stats makes me nervous.

Thanks guys. My LSAT really puts me in a grey area with a lot of schools.I'm sure a few of you can feel my pain. It's pretty stressful knowing that you aren't an auto admit and will most likely have to grind it out for the next 3-4 months to see if you can get in.
Good luck to all of yall this cycle.

That will only take you to March - don't know about your numbers, but with my numbers very possibly looking at a number of WL's, which means waiting until June, July, August... which means about 9 more months of this...moonmaster3 wrote:Thanks guys. Last year I got in of the WL at a school I really like, but just 2 weeks before school started and it was on the other side of the country, so I just couldn't do it. Just in case you think you really get to give up and stop wondering sometime in June or so - nope, down to the last day...moonmaster3 wrote:I'm in for the long haul.ruleser wrote:That will only take you to March - don't know about your numbers, but with my numbers very possibly looking at a number of WL's, which means waiting until June, July, August... which means about 9 more months of this...moonmaster3 wrote:Thanks guys. UVA explicitly claims to admit applicants off the WL right up to the first day of orientation. You'd better have your bags packed and plane ticket booked.
In that position, though, I would simply go to a school that had already accepted me if I hadn't heard anything from WL schools by June.

That is pretty ridiculous and I wonder what their thought process is for admitting people so late. Unless your life depended on it...the logistics behind moving to another state and then having to start school the next day is mind boggling.

What's the latest I could be offered admission? We have made last-minute offers right up to the day of orientation....You will need to come equipped with enough ready cash to rent an apartment and feed yourself until [your loan gets sorted out]. Off-campus housing in Charlottesville is usually not difficult to find, and we have resources to assist you with the search.

Yes and no - last cycle I did pretty crappy cycle thanks to my then-162 LSAT. So I didn't really have one I could just choose to go to that I was happy with. I didn't even get any scholly offer at Loyola.managamy wrote:UVA explicitly claims to admit applicants off the WL right up to the first day of orientation. I'm sure that there will be better options this time!! It was smart of you to wait and apply again. Trust in the bat.ruleser wrote:Yes and no - last cycle I did pretty crappy cycle thanks to my then-162 LSAT. So I didn't really have one I could just choose to go to that I was happy with. In that position, though, I would simply go to a school that had already accepted me if I hadn't heard anything from WL schools by June.My summer retake was what shook the waitlists, so my real offers just began to come in July, all the time needing split second decisions. (Ended up passing a full-ride to WandL, schollys at OSU, GMU, Loyola, Cincy - like you say, after June it was really too late for me to shift gears like that.) Thus, here I am, again...
Hopefully better choices early on this time...
