SanBun wrote:I want y'alls opinion on this: I feel like Fordham should've responded by now- I went complete 10/29 and have a 167/3.65 from top 10 private school + very strong softs.. LSP puts me in the 73rd percentile for Fordham... Any idea why I haven't heard back yet, anyone??

P.S: My status checker says complete, but I hear Fordham doesn't update when your app is under review. Also, my status checker is down today.. anyone else?
They changed their DNS so its only down if your ISP (internet service provider) has not updated their DNS yet. Use proxies (google it) to get access to their site.

As for law school admissions, they have always been a mystery as we all know. I went complete on 10/19 and have yet to hear anything back.

Status checker worked with google- thanks!! Yeah I guess they are somewhat mysterious about admissions.. Just wish that my "safe" schools, one of which is Fordham, would start replying :(

Hmmm, I am 167/3.42 also from a good UG (and with one major where no one gets an A....ever, the other major was normal) and I consider Fordham my reach school. Maybe there are alot of people with numbers in this area and thus it is taking them longer to make a decision.

The way I see it, every school where LSN puts me at >70% is a safe (though my other safes are much better, like 80-95%). Not meaning that I WILL be admitted, but I certainly stand a good chance. When i just recalculated with my exact GPA, LSP put me at 76% and "Admit"

According to LSP, Fordham is not a reach but a more like a match for your numbers- it puts you at "Consider"

But yeah I think you're right that there are a lot of people with those # who apply

Yeah, most things put me at between 50-75% for Fordham...but in no way would I consider that safe. I was going to apply to schools where I was at a 15-30% but decided the oppertunity cost was too high (I do not have the money) and I did not want to go to a school outside of the two places I can work (even if it is a T14).

So come on Fordham, let me go! I promise I will bring home the Pulitzer or the Tony eventually!

No you're right, nothings really 'safe' with law school admissions, regardless of whether LSP tells you it's a strong consider, consider or even admit. It only tells you whether you will likely be admitted based on # alone. That's as reliable as these things get. I merely use the term 'safe' loosely for the schools that are "admit" for me, as in "I'm safe from my # disqualifying me right away" Good luck w. everything!!

Y'all, I just realized why I haven't heard back yet- I submitted 10/28 and thought i'd gone complete 10/29, when it was in fact 11/04, so i didn't even make it in time for EA. At least I can now hold back freaking out until all the EA people have heard back LOL

You didn't go complete until 11/4 or didn't submit until then? As far as I'm aware, as long as you SUBMITTED by the EA deadline, you're good.

I've heard Fordham is pretty stingy.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
