i don't even have a status checker yet....when do they send this out? I only got an App Received email (1 week ago).

Got a call from Monica this evening too. Went complete on 11/2 and my status checker still just says my file is complete. If anyone interested in my stats pm me. Super pumped, I really wanted UT.

Still no scholarship letter, although the acceptance letter came about a week and a half ago... Anyone else out there strongly considering UT regardless? I've kind of fallen in love with the idea of spending three years in Austin..

It took 2 weeks for my app to go complete. It's normal.

I got an e-mail today saying they're holding me over to the Regular Decision admissions pool. I'm a little frustrated, because I was above the 75th in LSAT for UT, and my GPA is within their 25-75.

I can't figure out if their holding me over means they can't decide whether to admit me, or if it's a timing thing (i.e. they've already filled up their ED spots. My application wasn't complete with them until about 10/27). Thoughts anyone? Should I be worried? Hopefully the other top schools don't do this to me as well...

That's weird that they would reject a 25-75 gpa with 75%+ LSAT score. Maybe UT-Austin is trying to make a big push up the ranking ladder this year?

I agree that it is a little surprising, but it depends on how low the GPA is. I could see a 3.55/169 out-of-state being held over to RD.

That's true. There was a 3.5/171 flat-out rejected though...

Was actually a little less than 3.5, apparently. But still...even a 3.45/171 would be a crazy reject.

It seems like theyre going to town holding EA's to RD/rejecting people under 3.6, no matter the lsat.

I feel like the administration (Sager in particular) is dedicated to this goal for the long haul, not just from one year to the next. Sager is an interesting guy, and he is doing innovative things down here.

i'm just glad i'm already at UT .... my numbers probably would have gotten me rejected this year, based on these early returns.

I sent my app in on 10/28 and have not heard anything since. Sad.

I only know that the transaction went complete through LSAC - c'mon UT a lil love porfis.

I sent mine the 31st and got an email from UT on the 4th saying that my app was received.

I've got you all beat. Submitted the 20th and due to LSAC glitch LSDAS report wasn't sent until last Friday...super technology fail.
