completion date changed to 1/22/10. i hope i get in..

Nooyyllib, when did you originally apply? I applied 01/07/10 and my completion date says 01/22/10 but I want to say that it changed to this from an earlier date. Is it just wishful thinking in thinking I would hear something back this soon?

i was originally completed 10/29/09. So yeah, they are being slow with my file..... I wish they would accept me.

That happened to me too. I was complete 1/7 and then it changed to 1/22. I've been checking my status way too much, hoping for an "under review"

I got a scholarship that was only mentioned in the packet. Not on the status checker, and I didn't even get an email.

status changed from complete as of 12/3/2009 to complete as 1/23/2009.

Does this mean they are closer to making a decision or that someone looked at file, said ehhhh, he can wait a couple more months and closed it back up?

I just got the update to 1/23/09 on my completed status.

While I don't know what the date change really means, I'd like to think that they move up a "group" of similar applicants and begin to read their files. I don't know why, but I feel like the date changing is a result of an automated program, and when they "move" a bunch of applications in prep of review, the date changes. However, this could be my tech background taking over and assuming there is a method to the madness.

It changed to that as of yesterday and I had not checked it in a couple days...i can't check everyday because it makes this process seem even longer than it actually is. There was not too much i could do regarding all my applications except wait. although, i finally got my 2009 W-2 so i can finish up my fafsa application.

The completion date of mine updated once, and within a week or so, I was accepted. So, it should mean you'll be hearing a decision soon, hopefully a positive one. Good luck!

Just got my packet today, included a $36,000/total scholarship, which is nice.

But I'm a little confused, as the letter states that the scholarship will:

cover up to $36,000 of tuition costs over four years. The scholarship will be paid out in equal in installments of $12,000 over the four years you are in law school...

Is the 4 years just a typo (I was definitely accepted to the day division)? Does anyone else have this in their letter?

GPA below 25%, LSAT around 75%, but I have some strong softs that have offset my lower numbers.

My packet arrived today, no mention of scholarship money either. As much as I love their program (not the campus so much), I won't be able to attend without some type of a scholarship. I'll be withdrawing soon and I hope another TLSer can take my spot.
