Congrats to the next wave of admits!rachelac wrote:Congrats to everyone in! Still sitting at complete over here
Did anyone who is complete and not admitted write other Michigan Optional Essays? I didn’t write the “Why Essay” but did 2 of the other optional essays.

IN IN IN!!!!!!!! One of my top choices! Kudos to the fiancee for not indulging me when I was super sad not to be in the first wave yesterday (though I am wondering if something was wrong with the status checker yesterday)!!

For those that are in via status checker, did the date update but still say complete earlier in the day? In other words, is it worth checking throughout the day if you've already seen the date change?

We're probably going to be lumped into the same cycle, then. I submitted 10/18, got the app received email 10/19 and status checker email 10/23.DistrictDisaster wrote:No worries! This makes me feel a little better, since we have super similar numbers and both submitted early...I'm hoping they just do small waves but I'm super disappointed tbhPlatopus wrote:Guess my Why Mich wasn't very persuasive. Still sitting at complete

When I was stalking last year's thread, it seemed like a bunch of people with outstanding stats (which both of you obvi have) got their acceptances just slightly later (maybe a ~week or two after the acceptances started?). I know it's easy for me to say "Don't stress" and who knows why people get accepted at different times but I like to think that they're sitting around arguing over how big of a scholly to offer y'allrachelac wrote:This makes me feel a little better, since we have super similar numbers and both submitted early...I'm hoping they just do small waves but I'm super disappointed tbhPlatopus wrote:Guess my Why Mich wasn't very persuasive. Got the app received email on the 16 and status checked on the 17, and haven’t gotten a response either, so probably a part of the same wave as well

Re: Michigan Law c/o 2021 Applicants
Congrats to those admitted! If Michigan stays on your list later in the cycle, I highly recommend attending admitted students weekend & also, feeling free to reach out to students (like me & chandhi & others), those listed on "Ask A Wolverine" & those who might email you sooner or later (especially if you're a prospective member of their affinity group) and ask questions.
And for those not admitted yet, don't lose hope; be patient!
