Do make sure that your Why Xs/LOCIs are good, especially if you're a YP candidate. If you just phone it in, that'll be clear to admissions and you'll probably be worse off than if you hadn't written one at all. - Someone who got WL'd at every school he wrote a Why X for

Yeah, I'm still trying to decide if my "Why UVA" ended up helping or hurting me. I might even take a swing at a second one with my LOCI.

Ohhh I see. Well I mentioned the programs I was interested in and tied that to the rest of the application, but I should probably go back before the deposit deadline to beef some things up in a second LOCI.

Hey congrats! Another WL success story. What steps did you take to get off of the WL?

Thank you!!!:) I was waitlisted in February. Never sent a LOCI. I went on a campus tour yesterday and wanted to talk to an admissions representative after the tour. The admissions representative that took me in for questions happened to be the Assistant Dean. We talked for about 30mins and I followed up with a thank you email. This morning, I got an acceptance e-mail!:) Hope this helps!

WL at one of my safeties today (Seattle U). Probably going to withdraw since I'm already in at a school from which I would apply to transfer after 1L, and it doesn't really make sense to move states if I'm going to go that route. Still, every WL is another non-ding so there's that.

Seattle U waitlisted you with your numbers? That's absurd. But they do have a nice building. I took my LSAT there.

You'll get in somewhere good off the wait list with that LSAT just give it time! Don't go to the dumpster fire in Santa Clara they call a law school!

I sincerely hope so... I just don't have the flexibility to wait it out beyond June anywhere out of state, since I've told my partner I won't ask him to move with less than two months' notice. So beyond that, I'm left with Hastings which isn't a stellar option either.

That is understandable. Hastings is still a better option than Santa Clara. I'm not sure but maybe it would be a good idea to start mentioning to schools that you can't wait past June in follow up LOCIs a month or so down the road? I wouldn't get too worried because the April 15th deadline hasn't hit yet. If April 15 come and goes and still nothing Then it's time to worry a little. Have hope!

Riding WL at...

Columbia
Michigan
Northwestern
Georgetown

Still waiting to hear from NYU, Virginia, and Duke -- expecting WLs there as well. Going be pushing for Columbia or NYU. In with substantial money at BU, George Washingon. Full rides from BC and Tulane. Hardcore splitter (25-50 LSAT, >75 GPA) with excellent softs.

There was a link to percentage of people each school admits off the waitlist. Anyone have the link?
