Did you get the email last week about staying on the waitlist and attending UGA if accepted?

Yes! Did you? I am hoping to hear something this week since it said that some movement might occur by April 30.

yes, I got the email too. I hope so too! My friend said she got in around this time two years ago so hopefully they will let us know soon. She said they usually admit a lot of the waitlist but she doesn't remember getting that type of email. Did you send an LOCI or call over there recently? I'm tempted to call but not sure if I should.

I spoke with admissions and they told me they received a large number of 1st seat deposits, so they likely wont be admitting much students off the waitlist until the 2nd seat deposits are due. I sent in my loci a while back but I didn't receive that email :(. Do you mind pming ur stats?

I went to visit UGA about a month ago and they said that they do reject people off of the waitlist. You might want to give them a call and see if that happened or if you did not receive the email in error.

Anyone from the waitlist ever hear back? the email said they would be accepting people by the end of April so I thought I would have heard back by now...I guess maybe they aren't taking anyone of the waitlist until next week or until after the 2nd seat deposit. :(

I never even got the email from them to begin with. Apart from the waitlist letter through snail mail, I haven't had any communication with them. I thought I would've really enjoyed UGA, but their admissions process has turned me off a little bit. Looks like I'm withdrawing today and fully committing myself to the U of Iowa. Good luck to everyone on the waitlist!

I never got an initial email either regarding the waitlist nor did I get one for my LOCI I mailed in. The only email I received was last Monday when they stated they would be possibly accepting people off the waitlist by the end of April and asking me to respond on a form if I wanted to stay on the waitlist and commit to attending if accepted. I haven't heard anything since and it doesn't seem like anyone has been pulled off the waitlist.

Withdrew a pretty good sized scholarship today. I absolutely loved Athens and UGA, but I just couldn't quite justify the move over some of my other options. Best of luck to y'all riding out the WL!

Received a waitlist update email saying 2nd deposit deadline is 6/1 and asking to reply back if you wish to remain on the waitlist. For people on the waitlist, did you receive this email?

yes, I did. Did you get a response to your email if you replied?

Did any of you guys receive an email early in the admissions process that required you to sign up for a UGA ID and email address? Is that indicative of anything? I got one today and was a little confused/hopeful. On reddit, someone said they were rejected from a UGA PhD program after the same thing happened a few years back. Been under review since 9/12 i think. I see the first wave last year wasn't until around 10/9, so I don't expect to hear anything yet...

I applied on 9/17 and was admitted via email on 9/21, but I didn't get any emails about signing up for a UGA ID/email address. I did apply for undergrad there, though, so I was already in their system.

Congrats, crazy that you already got accepted. What were your stats if you don't mind sharing?

Thanks! I was VERY surprised to be admitted so quickly. GPA and LSAT were both >75%, decent softs, 2 years work experience in Big Law, and wrote a diversity addendum.
