Accepted by phone call last night! A bit odd to get a call on a sunday night during dinner haha but I was pleasantly surprised!

Was asked to supply a "Why Texas?" since I'm out of state.

Texas doesn't do the "under review" updates like other schools (i.e. USC and Berkeley), correct?

Congrats! Hopefully that means a lot of calls will go out between now and Christmas.texasellewoods wrote:Accepted by phone call last night! A bit odd to get a call on a sunday night during dinner haha but I was pleasantly surprised!

Just got a phone call from an Austin area code while driving out to New Orleans. My heart dropped into my stomach, I prepared for good or bad news from UT, and I picked up the phone...
...and it was someone from the Bernie Sanders campaign! Awesome, I applied for a position with the state office a few weeks ago. It's cool to finally hear back about that...
...and it was a volunteer calling to see if I'm voting for Bernie and asking if I want a yard sign.
So that was an emotional roller coaster. Have a good New Years, y'all!

Has anyone gotten accepted since the New Year?
I was ED held over for RD. I'm still waiting to hear. When I applied for ED, my numbers were 3.92/164. However, I retook the LSAT in December and raised my score to 166. Do you think this will help?

I'm in the same boat, just got December scores back... does LSAC send the new scores automatically?samwilwerding wrote:Has anyone gotten accepted since the New Year?

Re: University of Texas c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
It appears they do. If you go to any of your submitted applications on LSAC, it will say that a report was sent to that school on 1/4/2016, stating the reason for the report as "scores." However, if your score was quite a bit better, it might be useful to submit a one-page PDF to the admissions email explaining the difference (I had more time to study, etc.) and asking them to consider your new score as being better representative of your logical abilities. I emailed them last night asking them if I could do this, and they said to submit this doc to the admissions email and they would attach it to my file.meowatme123 wrote:I'm in the same boat, just got December scores back... does LSAC send the new scores automatically?samwilwerding wrote:Has anyone gotten accepted since the New Year?

Just send them an e-mail requesting one.calilaw33 wrote:How quickly does Texas issue fee waivers after scores come out? Got a 168 in December and want to apply ASAP, but also want to wait for a potential fee waiver if they issue them. Thanks!
