So I've moved pretty fast through the admissions cycle. Complete 01/04 > 1st Committee 1/10 > 2nd Committee 1/11 > Decision Finalized 1/12
But I haven't heard anything nor do I have the 1st seat deposit, 2nd seat deposit or final transcript on my checklist
is it safe to assume that i'm getting a ding ?
Edit: also both lsat/gpa are at the median range

In via email today. Yesterday my status checker had the seat deposit thing at the bottom of the screen. I'm guessing that if you have this then you will receive an acceptance message soon

Should I be worried that I haven't gotten a Rothman app invite yet? USC is in my top 3 choices so I'd at least like to try for that scholly...

Re Rothman:
"Criteria include a strong undergraduate record, LSAT score, and additional accomplishments such as publishing books or articles, running a business, inventing useful devices, or other similar achievements."
Anyone know how much they weigh "additional accomplishments" versus GPA and LSAT? I don't have similar achievements as they list. Do I stand a chance?

Same thought. I kind of laughed when I read that and was like "well, I'm severely under-qualified for this".strawberrieee wrote:Re Rothman:

USC law student here. Unfortunately, the person selected will probably have done at least one of those things (published, started own business, most decorated individual at their undergrad etc.). I say this based on those selected in the past.stressball2015 wrote:Same thought. Thank you for reaching out. I will be PMing you with my answers to your questions sometime this weekend. I think it is advantageous from the position of an applicant if the information is not shared publicly.LetsGoNow wrote: Hi, thank you for the detailed information. I have been accepted to UCLA and hoping to get accepted to USC as well, as I lean slightly towards USC as of now.
I'm sure this has been answered many times in different posts, but can I ask you how exactly you negotiate (initially, and after their next offers) among two schools, UCLA an USC in particular? Feel free to PM me if you'd rather not share publicly. Thank you!

Re: USC c/o 2019 Applicants Thread (2015-2016)
If you can get into some t14s, they are great too for negotiations, but be sure to articulate persuasively why you want to come to USC and LA. They may be looking for ties or interest of living in the region. Being WLed at ucla sounds like yield protection--I recommend emailing a LOCI and calling the admissions office to ask to schedule an interview.Tempo wrote:I've been waitlisted at UCLA, but my numbers are pretty good (3.7/171), and I really hope USC will accept me. Because I got waitlisted there, am I out of luck for negotiations? Or, if I'm fortunate enough to get into some t14 schools, will those work as negotiations too?
I'm sure USC will take you with your numbers. Good luck!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
