I really dig that Columbia students get free entry into great museums and discounted tickets for concerts and broadway shows.

Re: Columbia C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Columbia tuition is no longer 100% covered by GI Bill/Yellow Ribbon (an educational funding program for veterans).
That pretty much means that I would have to get shut out at HYS, Chicago, Berkeley, and pretty much every other top 10 school to go.
The only T14 schools not completely covered by the GI Bill are Yale, Georgetown, and Columbia.

Yeah, I think Columbia's LRAP is pretty good. But I think their PI scholarships are all "secret" and you have to be invited to apply?urbanist11 wrote:"Free" and "discounted" with a $300,000 payment. For PI folks it might be worth researching scholarships and Columbia's LRAP program.
edit: quoted far more than I needed too

Re: Columbia C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I mean, it's the second best law school west of the Mississippi. It was also one of my top picks before, because of its reputation and location. I also think that its slightly lower admissions stats actually substantiate its claims of holistic review. Like, it's hard to take a school seriously when it claims to review the whole candidate and not care about the rankings when its stats are in the 99th percentile. And that culture really appeals to me, the idea that the people going there aren't just good at taking tests.Hildegard15 wrote:You're actually pro Berkeley? San Francisco is awesome too.
