I wouldn't be very optimistic about it but why not try?LaraCroftEsq wrote:Need some insight from you guys. I've already sent in my seat deposit and am planning to move to Boulder next month. I was also accepted to Pepperdine, though I withdrew last week. Now Pepperdine has offered to double their original offer (from $45k to $90k) and are asking me to reconsider my decision. Do you think I could use that to leverage more money from CU, who offered me $25k? Pepperdine is ranked lower and probably not a 'peer' but $90k is a significant amount of money.

I wouldn't be hopeful. CU wouldn't increase my 40k, when I told them about my full ride to Indiana Maurer.

They wouldn't increase my 40k either. I had 99k at Lewis & Clark, 117k at Baylor, & 90k at W&L. But I really want to go to CU so I'm taking the slight financial hit.LVbucknell wrote:I wouldn't be hopeful. CU wouldn't increase my 40k, when I told them about my full ride to Indiana Maurer.
Some people have had success though, so it's worth a shot!

Yeah. My year several of us had the 24k, 12k, 12k scholarship and also a full ride to DU. The response was basically, please do enjoy the University of Denver!barbiegurl wrote:LVbucknell wrote:I wouldn't be hopeful. CU wouldn't increase my 40k, when I told them about my full ride to Indiana Maurer.

FWIW I told CU about my full ride to Arizona and they bumped me from $59,500 to $69,500 and offered me a $3,000 fellowship as a research assistant or support for a public interest internship for 1L summer. It's not gonna be enough to sway me, but it might work for some of you guys. G'luck!

Another Friday comes to pass. Another week of silence from the Golden Buffs. Anything at all discussion-worthy related to CU Law? Admission decisions, withdraws, scholarships, etc?

I don't really have much to contribute (withdrew a while ago), but I'm from Denver so if anyone has any questions about Colorado, I'd be happy to answer if I can. Feel free to PM.

For those of you on the WL, how much communication are you having with Admissions? A single LOCI? Anything more?

I've been checking in with them every 3 - 4 weeks (closer to 4), only by email. I initially sent one LOCI a week after being put on the waitlist and then was asked to interview a week after that. Haven't heard any significant updates since then.kptibolt wrote:For those of you on the WL, how much communication are you having with Admissions? A single LOCI? Anything more?

Last week, I was told that they are not going to the waitlist as of yet. They will have a better idea when a few more deposit deadlines pass. I'm going to visit this Friday and hope some face time makes a difference.JMC0709 wrote:I've been checking in with them every 3 - 4 weeks (closer to 4), only by email. For those on the waitlist, would you mind sharing your numbers? You can PM if you want.

Re: Colorado Law - Boulder C/O 2018
Visited campus last week and for lack of better words, I'm in love. I was okay being on the priority waitlist until my visit, but now it's just torture.
Is anyone willing / able to share the deposit deadlines for accepted students? I know the first one was 4/15. Just trying to gauge when I should follow up with the admissions next.

Still waiting myself. They did send out an email mid-May saying they would be reviewing the waitlist towards the end of May. I assume that's due to the recent deposit deadline's passing.

Ugh. Sorry guys! I guess I'm still riding the PWL since I haven't heard anything from admissions. Anyone have any advice on following up if I've already submitted my LOCI??Vivi wrote:You and me both my friend...denied off the priority WL as of today.

Well it looks like I got dinged.
I couldn't afford this place anyway!
Good luck to the WL, off to Arizona State I go!
