waitlisted by email. Kinda surprised. Does the waitlist generally have movement? Should I write a LOCI (I assume its just a why GW letter)?

Decision made today. I'm on my phone so can't really browse past posts -- are there any indicators for your decision before you receive it? (Ex. Fees changing, new list, etc.)

Edit: I got in! Just above 25% LSAT and at 75% GPA. Received the email at around 4 PM EST.

Complete 1/13, 1/20 and decision 1/23

Does anyone have a good link or any insight about GW's merit scholarships? Like the % of students who are offered one and average amount? GW is a top choice for me but also the costliest. I want at least some idea of what to expect in February!

So my favorite resource from law schools is the required ABA 509 Disclosures. You can find them easily via Google- just search "(name of school) ABA 509". Here's the link to the GW one: http://www.law.gwu.edu/Admissions/Docum ... ort[2].pdf

If you look at it, it says that the 75th percentile grant (merit scholarship) is $26,000, the median is $16,000, and the 25th percentile is $12,000. Your stats won't necessarily give you an idea of which bucket you fall into, but hopefully this helps prepare you, and helps you to compare to other schools.

Also input your stats on myLSN http://mylsn.info/r/pre-law/admissions/search/. It gives you some idea of what your scholarship money will be like. They don't seem to be quite as generous as other schools, plus they have a high COL.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
