I did just get an email from the Dean reminding me to fill out the FAFSA that says "I hope you are well. I am writing to remind you that UF Law admitted students may be considered for need-based grants." And then it closes with "We hope to meet you in the near future and look forward to the possibility of your joining us this fall!" My question is DOES THIS MEAN I AM IN????!!!...Or did all prospective students get this email?
This happened to me too, except I have been waiting on my mailed letter since Friday. I'm taking it as a quasi-acceptance, so quasi-congratulations to you!

Congrats to all the new admits!!! "Final Decision Reached"= Acceptance. I hope to see you all on campus next August!
Is that true? If so, I'm super excited! What do they do for rejections and waitlist?
Based on my year (c/o 2017), rejections came via email but not until April. Just asked a friend who got in off the waitlist about that and will post when he lets me know. If you are nervous about it, you can call the admissions office just to say thank you. Beth answers the phones and is super nice. She'll be happy to congratulate you again!
Also, a bit of advice for those still in comparative review (I was from Nov 1- mid Feb as a splitter). The admissions office at UF Law tracks everything (and I mean everything). The best way to help yourself is to visit the school and take a tour. You can also sit in on a class and/ or meet one on one with someone from the admissions team. It's a very small team (only 3... the actual admissions team includes those three plus a bunch of senior professors) but they are always happy to stop what they are doing to meet with prospective students and answer any questions... and more importantly... the school records that you visited and met with an admissions officer, took a tour, etc.

If I have been on the comparative review for a while now (since 12/08), should I write a letter to admissions about how I would like to attend UF? I already previously toured the campus, sat in on a class, and I've met the assistant dean of admissions twice at my university's law school fair. I don't want to seem to eager especially since I am not on the actual waitlist..

No status change, but I honestly don't remember well enough to tell you when it came in comparison to the acceptance. I guess I could go back and look at the postmark on the envelopes, but I won't be back home till Tuesday.

Got the welcome letter in the mail with the most recent UF Law magazine. Pretty cool actually.
I assumed that I would've been receiving a scholarship strictly based off my numbers but it's been a month since I've been admitted and still nothing.
Do they take this long to mail the offer, assuming there is one? Should I call Monday to see if I'm being awarded merit $?

I read someone saying it took at least a week after the acceptance letter to receive scholarship info.
how long did it take from Decision Reached to receiving the letter in the mail?

I was thinking the same thing, I was accepted back in December and still nothing. I think I'm going to shoot them an email and see when merit awards are typically sent out first, then see if I'm specifically getting one.

Took a week and a half from Jan 14th to get the acceptance letter. Took about a week to receive the Dean's welcome letter in the mail.
Either I'm not receiving an award or they're taking a lot of time to decide on/send the award.
I'm gonna call Monday to see what's up with merit scholarships.

In the same situation. Let us know what you find out. I'm wondering if they let you know if you're not being offered one, or if you just figure it out when you never get one, haha.

Should I expect a scholarship if I'm above 75th LSAT and between 25th/50th GPA?
I've been offered full rides to better schools and near full rides to a peer school.

Received $57,000 a week after being admitted in November. Received an additional $5,000 in early January for those curious about timing of awards

For the person asking about residency as a dependent, it doesnt matter your age. I talked to admissions last year before applying.

Just called the admissions office to ask about scholarships. Was told I haven't been awarded one yet, but doesn't mean I won't receive one. Was admitted 1/14 and am above 75th LSAT and just above 25th GPA.
Is UF pretty tight with offering $? I was certain I would be receiving $, but now I'm not sure...

I emailed UF yesterday and Dean Cohen replied saying they do it on a rolling basis, the committee meets and considers and reconsiders scholarships for all admitted students at that time then make a decision when they come to one. She said that I can email them any offers I want them to consider, but I'm not sure if I should show those cards yet or not.

Sure you should, I received 57k in Nov then emailed a week later and asked for more money & they gave me 5k more. Try negotiating while there's still plenty of money to be given out.

Does anyone know when the next batch of acceptances should go out based on last years cycle? My stats are 158/3.54 and have been in comparative review since 11/24
