Gave the office a quick call...they said you can't go fast-track after submitting.owlinentertainment wrote:+1Irish11 wrote:Can I solicit one now, having gone complete in early November? Waitlisted at UCLA...but in at Cornell.
Does anyone know if a waitlist at UCLA is pretty much the kiss of death?

Re: UCLA School of Law c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 cycle)
congrats to everyone whos gotten in. as a ucla alumni the school is terrific, and getting better every year (although this comes hand in hand with tons of construction both on the campus and the 405
)
hate how UCLA doesnt have a status checker
silence since i went complete 12/5
gpa<<25%
lsat>>75%
i know ucla is traditionally splitter unfriendly but judging from mylsn data i should have at least 50% chance to get in
hopefully my california residency, degree in engineering, ucla alumni status, and good/great softs help me...
at this point looking like a long shot though...

In via email as well. From submission to acceptance within a week! It's the first school I heard from so I'm happy to start out this cycle with a good news. The email says I should be informed about scholarship within January so..keeping my fingers crossed.

Does anyone know what Fast Track really means for UCLA in terms of who they offer it to and whether there are implications on admission chances?

Waitlisted via email today hoorah!! (I thought I was going to get rejected.)
Can anyone please tell me if UCLA's WL is a "soft reject" or not?
I'm going to stay on this WL as long as I possibly can. :p

How do the invite you to Fast Track? Is it an email? An option on LSAC when you submit?
Sorry if this has been covered. I know it's before you submit, but...

I am pretty sure it's through email.
It was offered to me in an email in late November and I think it has something to do with CRS because the email started off with "Based on your academic performance, you have been invited to apply to UCLA School of Law for the fall 2015 application cycle via Fast Track Review."

Applied 1/5 and received my acceptance call 3 days ago. I was hoping to land some kind of a scholarship as this was one of my easier schools - they wouldn't have waited till I submitted my FAFSA (I haven't yet) to tell me I would receive a merit scholarship right?

My understanding talking with admissions after my acceptance was that we would start hearing at the end of January for merit based scholarshipsdlrkgml wrote:Applied 1/5 and received my acceptance call 3 days ago (GPA=50th%, LSAT>>75%, non URM). Nobody has heard about scholarships yet as far as I can tell, and yes most schools will want you to submit your FAFSA before merit based scholarships are awardedkeosu11 wrote:My understanding talking with admissions after my acceptance was that we would start hearing at the end of January for merit based scholarshipsdlrkgml wrote:Applied 1/5 and received my acceptance call 3 days ago (GPA=50th%, LSAT>>75%, non URM). I submitted via Fast Track last week and now they're asking for a Skype interview TOMORROW. Has this happened to anyone else? I didn't know UCLA did interviews. . .

Seen a couple of them on this thread. I think they have all been to clear up something on the app (C&F issue, etc); but every one that I have seen was offered the acceptance at the end of the call!mwonka wrote:I submitted via Fast Track last week and now they're asking for a Skype interview TOMORROW. Oh my goodness, now I'm freaking out wondering what it could possibly be. No C&F issues. Ahhhh, I don't wanna do it.lawschool1741 wrote:Seen a couple of them on this thread. Haha sorry didn't mean to do that to you. Seems like they have all been incredibly laid back and welcoming/nice, if that helps.mwonka wrote:Oh my goodness, now I'm freaking out wondering what it could possibly be. No C&F issues. Got the ding and placed on the waitlist. However, I am accepted at Cornell so I will be withdrawing my applications.
I hope my wait list removal helps open it up for one hopeful/deserving person out there.
Best of luck to you guys attending UCLA.

My understanding is that so far all of UCLA's notifications are: call if accepted and email if denied/WL? Is this correct?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
