Checking in!
I wasn't going to apply because I don't think I'll get in but now I'm applying so I don't sit around thinking "what if..." somewhere down the line...

Last year, Dean Deal called with the first acceptance on Wednesday, November 20! Here's hoping that there's another November round this year!

Don't get TOO excited. Those people applied the second applications were opened.

How long after applying did people receive the status checker?

On the other side, some of us applied right away and didn't hear until late May.Seoulless wrote:Don't get TOO excited. Those people applied the second applications were opened.

Play around with law school numbers. You can see all of the waves.lylacorndo wrote:Any idea when we will hear back?cc78 wrote:lilyt93 wrote:Last year, Dean Deal called with the first acceptance on Wednesday, November 20! Here's hoping that there's another November round this year!

According to LSN for last year's applicants, after the small wave on 11/20 (2 LSN people) there was another trickle 12/17-12/19 (7).
After that, looks like it's silent until after the new year.

I applied to Stanford on 10/23, and my online status still says, "Your file has been submitted for review" (with current status date of 10/23). I was "complete" everywhere else a long time ago...but not Stanford? What's going on? Have I forgotten something? At the top in all red it says, "Your application for admission to Stanford Law School is now complete"...have they just forgotten to change the status part? #confused

I think that means that your application is complete AND has now been submitted for review. Don't worry! The Argus wrote:I applied to Stanford on 10/23, and my online status still says, "Your file has been submitted for review" (with current status date of 10/23). Well I feel doomed, got an email asking why I did not provide an explanation for a C+F question I did not mean to check yes to, they seemed fine with explanation but have to think that is a pretty big negative.

Don't worry about it. Simple mistake.Auxilio wrote:Well I feel doomed, got an email asking why I did not provide an explanation for a C+F question I did not mean to check yes to, they seemed fine with explanation but have to think that is a pretty big negative.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. On the bright side, you know they're actually looking at your application!Auxilio wrote:Well I feel doomed, got an email asking why I did not provide an explanation for a C+F question I did not mean to check yes to, they seemed fine with explanation but have to think that is a pretty big negative.

submitted on 10/31, got the email saying initial components received, but still waiting on status checker (when application is complete). how long did it take for you to receive the status checker email? should i follow up?

Took me a couple of days (submitted over the weekend). I'd contact them and make sure everything is okay. Nothing exciting happens on the status checker just "submitted for review" until you get the decision (I think call for the acceptances, emails for the dings/WLs). But it's still good to check that they received all your materials.blueberrybagel wrote:submitted on 10/31, got the email saying initial components received, but still waiting on status checker (when application is complete). how long did it take for you to receive the status checker email? should i follow up?

In the 2017 Applicant thread, the average days between complete and receiving a decision was 77.73.ravel wrote:Does anyone know how long it usually takes between going UR and receiving the results?
