I have YP #s, but I think I did an excellent job conveying my interest in UVA in my why UVA statement and in my interview, which I'm sure was at least part of the reason I got the Dillard, esp since my other softs are average/below average. visiting is a good way, imo, to convey interest beyond the internet research that goes into a Why X, though ofc that's going to be cost/time prohibitive for a lot of people. if you do visit, be sure to talk about it in your interview.

and yeah, re: duke, some schools are just more generous with aid than others, and UVA has historically given out good $.

Great information, thanks! Also, I read on UVA's website that there were 26 Dillards in c/o 2017 compared to just six in c/o 2011. Is that a trend or is c/o 2017 an exceptional year? Do you think this will impact c/o 2018 offers at all?

yeah that's pretty weird. most people have the sentence-form status at the top, not in the typical status checker place. I wouldn't worry about it though!

Literally just finished my interview with Dean Faulk. Got admitted at the end and was told that I received a full-tuition scholarship (I'm assuming its a Dillard). But my mind is absolutely blown right now.
