Congratulations, and thank you for your service.navykev wrote:Wow -- just got the acceptance email!

Soft that probably had a big impact with my lower LSAT: Retiring E9 with several combat deployments over a 20 year military career.
I grew up in a poor St. Louis neighborhood and use to play in Forest Park a lot. As a kid, I remember staring at the beautiful buildings/campus and watching the students walk by thinking those must be the smartest and certainly the luckiest people in the world (only world I knew was St. Louis at the time). You have no idea how truly humbling and special it is to me to be accepted to WashU.

Congrats Kev! I hope to be joining you this fall. It's nice to see someone's personality clearly shining through as many on this forum like to stick to the robotic lsat/gpa story. Too often the human behind the application is trivialized. I'm so glad that your WUSTL story has come full circle. I am confident that you will prove the 161 haters wrong.

Thanks scotti -- to you and all the other 1L/2L/3Ls - that have been so active in this year's thread. Pretty cool tone you guys are setting for those that might be on the fence. Admissions should give you guys a finder's fee!scottidsntknow wrote:Congrats to everyone that's been accepted so far!

Re: WUSTL c/o 2018 Applicants
hey guys! guess I'll introduce myself in this year's thread. I was planning on starting this past fall, but decided to defer a year, so I'll be a member of this class with you guys
I moved to st. louis about two years ago and I really like it here. I lived in the central west end for the first year and now I live in clayton - both are great neighborhoods for law students, so feel free to ask me any questions!
if any prospective/admitted students are ever visiting STL and want to meet up for a beer or coffee, let me know!

Hey peaches! Excited to be in the class of 2018 with you! I'll be coming to an ASW in March or April or possibly visiting before that and would love to grab some brews. I'm also in the process of looking at apartments, finding a place to live, etc so I'll definitely be hitting you up for some advice.peachesthedoge wrote:hey guys! guess I'll introduce myself in this year's thread. Ask us where bar review is when you visit. Peaches and I went and it was nice to meet students outside of the formal admissions activities.acr wrote:Hey peaches! Received an e-mail and phone call from Mary Ann Clifford yesterday. She was Impressed by my application, (academics, PS, and WE) and asked me a few questions on my my choice of undergrad. She's waiting on my September Lsat though

Have my application all ready to go...Just need that score.
Seems like the first 2 and a half weeks flew by and now this last week is just absolute torture.

Good luck! We've all been there and know how stressful that is.JerryLundegard wrote:Have my application all ready to go...Just need that score.

Also fwiw, I applied at the end of January, so if you don't get the score you want/need and you really want to be at WUSTL, you can certainly retake in Decemeber. Obviously the earlier you can apply the better, but all is not lost if you end up needing to retake.

Chief,
I don't think they have access to the community 4TB hard drive of pirated TV shows purchased at the bazaar. I'm still working through movies and shows from the surge.
