Thx y'all, I appreciate the positive energy. I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up, but sugarbear is right on: UCLA is probably a better fit. And the LA sun will make forget about all of this in no time. Congrats to the admits and best of luck to those still waiting!

I'm not gonna sit here and say Columbia doesn't smell like shit sometimes, but compared to the rest of the city, it smells like shit a whole lot less.

Also want to chime in and wish HT the best luck. I was on Reserve, had a phone interview last week and was offered admission several days later. Big-time splitter, 2 years mediocre WE, pretty good softs in undergrad (which helped me explain my low GPA in the phone interview). I feel very very fortunate and am hoping to see all of you this fall in Morningside Heights.

So... I still haven't heard anything. If I remember correctly, I was told that they would get back to me within a week (today). Should I call?!

Hm, perhaps an email?

Edit: just heard from a friend that her friend got her decision today, took the interview on the first wednesday. So they're still giving out calls.
