Would it be inappropriate to call the Admissions office tomorrow to ask the status of my application? I have been complete since late November and with a deposit deadline looming for another school Monday, I'd love to know my status without having to make a split-second decision in a few days. Anyone else in this same boat?

Eligator, I seem to remember them requesting applicants to not contact the admissions office to inquire about an application status. It's frustrating and UNC isn't very good at all about regularly updating students on their application status. I hate to say it, but my advice would be to wait it out.

Hey guys long time lurker first time poster; I'm thinking about creating an unofficial UNC Law c/o 2016 Facebook group. Do you all think this would be beneficial? Not sure why the school doesn't plan on making a Facebook group until June 7th.

Sadly this is only the deadline to hear from them if we are accepted in the "first round." They don't state it outright, but if we don't hear from them by April 1, we will be either waitlisted or rejected.

Having been complete since early November (and also with other deadlines looming), I too am going slightly crazy, but personally feel the best plan is to wait it out. We will know something soon, either directly or indirectly.

Just withdrew. Really liked UNC. Couldn't do it without $$$. What a shame.

Just dropped 1st seat deposit. Still waiting to hear from 4 other schools but I love UNC and it would be nice to move back to the hill for a few yrs. Good luck to all those still waiting to hear back.

Just turned down UNC. Great school, but they just gave me less $ than other higher-ranked schools and I'm not in-state, so I had to say no. It looked like a wonderful place to go to school, so I hope someone else gets my spot.

lol I just heard that some applicants won't hear a decision until May 1. I wonder if that would be a WL/Denial for me or should I hold out some hope? Admissions just told me my application has not been reviewed yet.

When did you apply? I went complete on 11/28 and literally no movement since. I'm pretty much resigning to the fact that I will be WL or denied. Handing out an acceptance later than today would not make a lot of sense given other schools' deposit deadlines.

I applied later in the cycle and haven't had any movement either. I emailed near the beginning of March to ask whether all applicants would be reviewed by April 1 and an admissions officer answered that "in theory, yes ... but in reality, no." It was really frustrating to put half a seat deposit down at another school today and not even be under review at UNC yet! I'm still hoping for some sort of good news though. Good luck to everyone still waiting as well!

Applied 1/5 I think. right after new years. agreed, no idea what these dudes are up to...

I was complete on 3/1 and received my waitlist email around 9:00 pm EST.
