Is pfcd considered the waitlist for alabama?

It is the group that will become the waitlist. If you are not rescued from it or rejected out of it, then you roll over into the waitlist.

Now would be the time to dig up extra recommendations and pad your resume.

Personally, I am drafting my LOCI right now and spiffing up my LGBT diversity statement. Every school that I sent it to gave good scholarships and accepted me immediately so I am going to include it. I'm hoping it will separate me from all the other middle class white girls applying.

IMHO, I really think this is the sweet spot for applicants like me to try to stand out. They are basically shut down waiting for better applicants to come in. Now is the time to shine; I'm not waiting until they are busy with rejections and forming the waitlist. They don't formally notify you of a waitlist until like June, but it is basically a soft rejection.

UA is by far the nicest admissions office. You can tell they really do care about their students.

Still no update on scholarship information... But I got a UA Law t-shirt in the mail today

164s don't typically get scholarships. Frankly, most don't even get in.

As a 164 myself, I completely agree. Last year I was waitlisted and I doubt I'll make the cut this year. I'm just hoping to flood them with recs and get on the radar.

Did you stay on the waitlist until rejected or did you withdraw. I think I am going to ride it until the bitter end and I'm just hoping it was the latter.

I waited until the bitter end last year. Got a call from assistant director of admissions that got my hopes up then Claude Arrington (she's not in admissions anymore) called to let me know that they had filled all their spots. That led me to believe that I barely missed getting off the wait list. Anyway, I will probably stay on a wait list until the bitter end this year as well. I'll probably accept an offer from Cumberland and stay on the wait list at UA until the last minute.

Got a call from Admissions today, no verdict but encouraged me to call with any questions. Said my app should be finished with review shortly. Applied Feb 7.

I dunno. I spotted my admission to Ole Miss and Cumberland before I got the call. It is probably driving me crazy anyway. I'm still waiting to hear about scholarships to my back up schools. I think I should probably spend more energy figuring out how to pay for Cumberland.

I have been under review since January 15th. If PFCD is the de facto waitlist, I am curious as to why I am not either PFCD or outright rejected by now... Anyone have any insight on this?
