I called them this morning and they said that they were still planning on releasing those decisions today.

Re: University of Georgia c/o 2016 applicants (2012-13 cycle)
Okay just got off the phone with UGA. Here is the deal. My application status has said, "Is being reviewed by the Admissions Committee" since I applied Nov 1. I called the office and asked for the status of my application since it hasn't changed in 6 weeks and today is the deadline. She responded by saying that if my status on the status checker says "is being reviewed..." that means that I have been bumped from the ED pool and put into the regular admission pool.
There is no notification for getting bumped, and I could have been bumped from ED to Regular the day after they received my application. I asked her if/when they have notified people of regular acceptance and she said I could hear anywhere from today to April.
Definitely annoyed that they didn't notify me that I was bumped down to regular admission. I just thought an email saying, "Thank you for applying to UGA ED, however, at this time we have decided you are a better fit for the regular admission cycle" would be appropriate and professional. Is that really asking too much?! Sorry needed to vent. This application cycle is VERY stressful.
Anyways, congrats to everyone who got in! I hope I'll be able to call myself a Law Dawg in the upcoming few weeks.

If adcoms lurk TLS, you're definitely in... it's obvious how much you want UA! Good luck!! I bet you'll get good news.2012Lsatscore wrote:My reply would have been "Nope! I might just put a copy of the admission letter in a safe deposit box!

I've been under review since 11/8, pretty sure I've got a ticket to the wait list express. Choo Choo.bgoodrick wrote:I swear, I think I've been under review by the committee for a month

Doesn't mean much, but last year I app'ed mid October, and was accepted beginning of Jan. So if you've been waiting a while, that doesn't mean you're definitely headed for the wait list.

I definitely read that in the voice of Fogherty. Waitlist Express could be a big hit on the CCR reunion tour!2012Lsatscore wrote:...You wonder if you’ll get there soonscruffy556 wrote: I've been under review since 11/8, pretty sure I've got a ticket to the wait list express. Choo Choo.
Anybody’s guess

Re: University of Georgia c/o 2016 applicants (2012-13 cycle)
Question for current students: How beneficial is it to live close to the law school (half mile or so) vs a few miles away? I'm trying to decide between a place close by for a few hundred.dollars more per month or one about 2 or so miles away for way less. Is it safe to walk or ride a bike to and from the law school at night? Is there a place to chain a bike? Thanks!!

3L here - where specifically is the place that is half a mile away? If it's 909 broad, then yes, I believe that it is safe to walk at night.BlueJeanBaby wrote:Question for current students: How beneficial is it to live close to the law school (half mile or so) vs a few miles away?
