FWIW I emailed an admissions officer about two or three weeks ago she they informed me that they hope to deliver the bulk or their decision by the end of March.
EDIT: I'm in the 'in committee' group from 3/4

Just withdrew. Hope the Emery Scholarship goes to someone else. $20,500 a year. Hopefully with less tough stips tho. Mine were top quarter of the class.

Re: Santa Clara University c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
Last update for me was 2/6 when I was "in committee," but that was before my most recent LSAT score. I emailed the dean a few days ago, and he said they were "very close" to finishing the applications they have received.
I find it weird that SCU hasn't updated my status to complete after the new LSAT when every other school (aside from USD, which just gave me a decision) did update the status checker.
The wait is killing me.

withdrawing, the top 25% stipulation is ridiculous, and their administration really isn't responsive at all... hope the 15k/yr Emery scholarship goes to someone else here on TLS

I tried, it's not so much a negotiation as it is an appeal. You have to submit the written appeal form explaining on what grounds you feel you should be awarded more $, and attach and send in your other offers as well.alawstudentsometime wrote:Has anyone heard anything on scholarship negotiations?
They emailed me back stating that they probably wouldn't be able to get back to me in time for the 4/1 deadline, and they didn't...

I didn't know that. In my case, they simply did not reply. I called about a week ago and they said they would not bump scholarships until after the deadline. I remain interested but I did not deposit (or withdraw). We'll see if they ever get back to me, I guess.whsy wrote:I tried, it's not so much a negotiation as it is an appeal. Strange, there was a standard form that they emailed me... I emailed the fin aid office. And I thought the deadline is 4/1?alawstudentsometime wrote:I didn't know that. The deadline was 4/1 but I would not attend unless they increased my scholarship. I figure if they get desperate they might get back to me.
I emailed the Dean of Admissions (rather, Enrollment Management). FinAid office said it was ultimately his decision.

Any movement? Or is Santa Clara one of those schools that never inform you of your rejection?

Would it be worthwhile to email/call the school? This is the only school I have yet to hear from and it's one of the first I applied to.

I just called admissions, and they said their tentative date to have all decisions out is by the end of April.
Definitely not what I wanted to hear.

What the...last week they said they would all be out by Apr 15th. What is going on over there?? Seems to me that they are holding a bunch of applications w/out responding till they to see what their first deposits are like...Maybe they will respond once they see how first deposits go? Are they not utilizing a waitlist?

First-time poster after being a long-time lurker. Inquired about my application about a week ago. They said I should expect my decision to be out in a couple of weeks.coffeeaddict wrote:patriots2487 wrote:I just called admissions, and they said their tentative date to have all decisions out is by the end of April.

Looks like a lot of admits have withdrawn or are in the process of withdrawing according LSN, so let's hope we see some movement on Tuesday.
