Decision mailed date, 12/11!!!

The consensus on this is that at this point it's most likely an admit, right? I don't want to get my hopes up too high.

FedEx two day in fact. And I think that pretty much guarantees two day and never sooner. Ironically, if you're close to Nashville and they just sent it ground you would almost certainly get it in one day. By sending it express, you'll probably get it later. I could be wrong though, let us know!

You'll be fine Just have a general idea of Why Nashville, Why Vanderbilt, and Why Law School and you'll rock it. From my own experience and what I've read on here, it's more an opportunity for the school to get you pumped about Vanderbilt through its awesome alumni.

Haha, I've been honing scripted answers to those questions for a few days now. And yeah, from what Google tells me, my alumni is really awesome. She's Chief of the Antitrust Division of my state's Attorney General office... And I have to sound competent in front of her.

But I'm pumped. Should be awesome.

A letter of admission was attached, and the email said this: "Although we normally enclose letters of admission in a “Black Box” of materials sent via Federal Express, those shipments have been temporarily delayed, and we wanted to share the news of your admission as soon as possible with this message."

I'm ecstatic!

Congrats! That's awesome. Did your status checker ever change to decision mailed? I'm wondering now if my decision that was mailed yesterday is a rejection if the black boxes have been delayed...

My status did not change. But if yours changed yesterday, it could still be an accept; maybe they just delayed the block boxes starting today.

Edit: Question. What's the etiquette regarding email accepts? Am I expected to reply?

I'm in the same situation as you. I think the people who got the email didn't get a status checker update. So maybe you and I had our boxes sent out and then they ran out of boxes or something...

Strangely enough, I got the email yesterday (12/12) and when I checked my status this morning it said DLS 12/12. Seems as though the email was unnecessary.

Edit: I suppose it could have changed after the email was sent out.

Hey! I've been trolling for a while, but haven't posted anything. Got accepted today via the e-mail with a 170/3.3 GPA, not URM. Just writing to let the other low GPA-ers out there know that there is hope. I had three years WE as a military officer and some decent letters of rec, so it looks like they do pay attention to the softs.

Also- did the interview. My interviewer was great and I think that was another thing that helped.
