Checking in. Applying for Accelerated JD. 3.6ish/168. Feel like its my best chance of acceptance and I fit the profile of previous admits as far as working experience and advanced degrees. Looking at the gpa/lsat 25/75 for the class it appears the admission standard are a tiny bit easier. Anyone else applying for AJD or know anyone more about my admission chances?

You schedule them online. Did you complete this step? You should be able to pick a date and time directly from the website.

It took me almost 4 weeks to get my off campus interviewer assigned. I sent a polite note after 3 weeks and they let me know how much longer it would be. I think it probably depends where you are/how many alums are around there for how quickly you get your interviewer assigned. I didn't choose a date & time online, I emailed my interviewer directly.

Interview on Wednesday this week, btw. Yikes!

I had mine on campus a couple weeks ago (this may be why scheduling was so easy). There is really nothing to be afraid of. Basic questions about your resume, what your goals are, your personal interests, and possibly a critical thinking question. Honestly, just be professional, polite, and well versed in your resume.

Also, if you have a flaw in your app (low GPA/LSAT, no WE), then be prepared to be asked directly about it.

My application was complete 10/30, and my date changed to 11/5. I'm RD so I don't expect to get a decision soon, but still happy to see an update Has anyone else had a date change after they went complete?

Yea this is only if you do an on-campus interview. I am doing an off-campus one and you have to wait for them to email you.

This is entirely unrelated to the on-campus interviewing for admission to the law school. This is the OCI for students in the law school trying to get SA positions at law firms and the like. Unless there was something else in here you wanted us to note?

No. On campus interviews are required for ED candidates, but an interview is strongly recommended for all candidates.

Lol, your assessment of the link is correct. I apologize for assuming a majority of users would have been able to make that distinction and glean any pertinent information for themselves.

Did you place education at the top?

I submitted a regular job-seeker style resume with my application, though I made appropriate adjustments in my objective-type statement and tailored my duties listed in employment to highlight potentially desirable traits.

You'll probably want to take a copy of the resume you gave them, in the interest of consistency.

I listed employment before education, as I have quite a bit of work experience and this is the standard format. If you have more accomplishments in the education area it might make sense to put that first, but I wouldn't deviate from what I've already given them.

Oh, and my interview was off campus. From what I've read the off campus ones are a little more relaxed, but I'm sure you'll do fine!

I did not include an objective on my resume to NU interview- they didn't seem to care. I also haven't included an objective on my resume in years for any job application (usually letting cover letters take that place) and it's never come up once or mattered. It seems outdated/wasted space to me.

AFAIK in the legal field (and in a lot of other fields), an objective is never in order.

Just use the same one you submitted with your app. They'll already have seen that one, and to give them a different format that presents the same info seems unnecessarily complicated.
