Received my award yesterday! They sent an email to my regular email acct and told me my award letter was on Axess.

At biglaw salary you should be ok after several years. If PI, go to school for free.

Its scary to have the debt front loaded, I'm sure. And I bet you have other great offers if you decide it is too risky. I am super pumped to meet so many interesting people in April.

Need Access, early February; taxes, late February. I did send in a few updates last week, so that might be holding things up.

are the financial aid people also part of admissions or is the finance office a separate entity?
just wondering if the same people that admitted us r the ones that will be looking at our income, etc. and how "blind" the process is

I haven't been able to log in and double-check this yet, but I'm assuming my financial aid letter is about to inform me that I will be receiving no financial aid. That might be why I'm hearing back so fast.

Not that I know of, but once your package comes and you can log into the admitted students' site, you should definitely join the google group.

You also may want to email them - there was a snag with me getting the info when they first sent it out, I think they had my wrong email.

Oh ok, thanks. I'll try it, but I doubt that's the problem with me since I was emailing with someone in the financial aid office just last week.

I feel like an idiot, but... anyone have problems creating their SUnet ID? Every time I go to the 'identify yourself' page and enter in my Stanford ID#, last name, and birthdate, I get an error message. Am I doing something wrong or is there some other problem?

I had that problem once, and then it went away. And then one day my SUNet started working so I could log into Axess. (For some reason, some parts of the website are still off-limits, such as the 1L class schedule grids on the Registrar's website.) I have no idea what I did differently, but I just wanted to let you know you're not alone.
