I'm far from being a troll and I don't appreciate the insinuation. I live across from it in the current dorms and ride by every single day on my way to work. They just finished with the exterior paneling and on my way past today I noticed that they have not even finished the wiring yet or anything. There is not even a single article or furniture in that building at all, they're still putting down the bricks in the outside walkways. It may be done in time, but they sure are cutting it down to the wire.BostonNJ wrote:DO NOT LISTEN TO CROSSARMANT, its almost done and will probably be completed by the middle of this month. As to the "blasting" of Rutgers-Camden, I've done no such thing. Merely pointing out potential shortcomings amongst the glory hailing by everyone else is far from denouncing the place as a whole. It is not the best law school in the country nor even on of the top and shouldn't be treated as such, I lack the sense of loyalty and fervent defensiveness that most of the student body has and try to look at it like an outside observer and keeping impartiality. It's a solid enough regional school for New Jersey, but it is the least respected of the 3 in the state and the least respected (minus Drexel and Widener) in the Philly area. The merger may have been halted, but recruitment and job prospects have been declining rapidly over the past few years and the rankings have plummeted drastically. The merger fiasco scared off strong candidates making the ranking drop even more imminent and more destructive. Far be it from trolling to give an objective first hand opinion from someone who does not "bleed scarlet and black."

You identify as someone who passes by; not as a current student. If you are so keen on bulleting it's short-comings that you notice from a speeding train, then why not start a thread for that instead? This is a place for people actually interested in attending.crossarmant wrote:I'm far from being a troll and I don't appreciate the insinuation. Missing a syntactical error is almost as "derpy" as trolling this thread. Almost. I will be fine with being derpy and tuition-free though.InGoodFaith wrote:Probably, but doesn't change the fact that the rest of the post is derpy.HeavenWood wrote:Perhaps a victim of Smartphone autocorrect?

Re: Rutgers-Camden Class of 2015 (2011-2012 cycle)
It is not the least respected law school in New Jersey by a long shot! You are such a US News junky. I really doubt you go to Rutgers or law school for that matter. Just because US News ranked Rutgers Camden below Seton and Newark does not mean its the least respected at all. For a very long time it blew those two out of the water. If you know anything about Rutgers Camden, you would know that we are directly effected by the politics in our city. Two years ago the fires killed our rankings, last year 50% of the Camden Cops were laid off, that killed our ranking, this year the merger is killing our rankings. There is nothing wrong with the school or the education, the City and its politics are whats affecting the schools rankings! If you compare Rutgers Camden to Seton for example, we have a higher LSAT average at 160 to 161 depending on the year, our student faculty ratio is 11 to 1 (unheard of for a school in the lower tier 2), and our library is much bigger! If you truly go to Rutgers Camden Law, please transfer out, because you are not being objective, you are being destructive!

Not sure why anyone is concerned about library size or even ranking when only 57% of the c/o 2011 found full time long term bar required employment.

Factor into that number that around 40% of the class are in local and state clerkships.InGoodFaith wrote:Not sure why anyone is concerned about library size or even ranking when only 57% of the c/o 2011 found full time long term bar required employment.

and it is pretty much established that clerkship lead to great jobs afterwards, they pay 50K for the year, they are nothing to overlook! Please stop hating, I really would like to know who you are, so that maybe we can have you meet with some professors that can explain to you the value of your education. Again if you don't like it why are you at Rutgers? Makes no sense to me?crossarmant wrote:Factor into that number that around 40% of the class are in local and state clerkships.InGoodFaith wrote:Not sure why anyone is concerned about library size or even ranking when only 57% of the c/o 2011 found full time long term bar required employment.
