i posted this awhile back...but is anyone planning on attending the admitted students day on the 20th? i am coming out from san francisco on the 17th and thought maybe a few of us could get together for drinks either saturday or sunday?

I might be! I'm currently deciding between February and March, but I can keep you posted if you'd like. It would be nice to meet up with some fellow soon to be 1Ls!

Keep in touch with the admissions office and let them know you're still interested. That goes further than people think (at least at Cardozo, can't speak authoritatively about anywhere else). If anything new happens in your life (get good grades, promotion at work, etc.) send an update for your file. And then stay ready to leave at the last minute - some people get the call off the wait list right at the last minute for both the fall and the May admissions.

Flying in Feb. 16 and staying until the 21 (from Austin, Texas)! I'll be there, too! Maybe we should start a group!

Hopefully you get those grants and they let me in (although going there at the sticker price doesn't sound like the greatest idea) so we can go together and watch Liverpool at this bar in NYC:

That would be awesome. I completely forgot NYC has a supporters club. If I go to the admitted students event I'll make sure to bring my jersey and go to watch a game there.

I just sent my into the dean's office, and then sent an email telling the guy to look out for it. I definitely don't know the dean, so it scares me too.

Could someone who's asked about the travel stipend possibly e-mail me the info you received? I'm hoping to attend the accepted students day coming up in two weeks and I need to get my plane ticket this weekend if I'm going to do it, but I still haven't gotten an e-mail back from my inquiry about the stipend. I just want to get a sense of what I can get reimbursed for and how it works so I can make sure I can swing it financially. My e-mail is sfamor@yahoo.com. Thank you so much in advance!
